I have an LX5 (which differs from the 4-string in that it's a JJ-model rather than PJ) so I'm a little biased too, but I think they're incredibly versatile, punchy as hell, tight, and they have a tremendously agressive midrange. And a wenge neck is classic Warwick

I know Warwick has the Rockbass Corvette Standard in a 30" version, and there must be some affordable hollowbodies out there like the Ibanez AGB-200 (now out of production, but can still be found here and there) and the many, many Höfner copies out there. I'm sure I forgot a bunch. I used to own an Italia Torino (also a semi-hollowbody) which was shortscale. I don't know many solidbody shorties though, other than the Rockbass

Warwick offers all its German made models in a choice of 30, 32, 34 or 35 inch scale. They also offer their affordable Chinese-made Rockbass Corvette Standard in a 30 and 32 inch version. There were some very cool Japanese Squier Precisions in the mid-80s with medium scale too, they're very nice basses and can be found at good prices sometimes. I think I read in an interview with Dave Stewart recently that Spotify only has around 6.000.000 paying users WORLDWIDE. All the others are using the free version - which obviously doesn't generate any income. For artists to get paid more, Spotify will need a heck of a lot more paying clients.

I haven't played many Warwicks (just 3 I think) but I liked all of them. It took me a while to learn to appreciate the aesthetics, and I'm still not a fan of the Corvette bodyshape but I LOVE the Streamer and the Thumb. I bought my Streamer LX5 unseen and without trying it out first, and it turned out to be a 2003 model with a huge neck, but I have big hands so I'm not at all uncomfortable with it. I love the ergonomics of the body, and the tone is really agressive and punchy. It suits me perfectly

My band plays live with a clicktrack on the in-ear system and all synths and backing vocals on a backing track. Works great, sounds great, and only once did anyone ever comment "Too bad there's no keyboardist in the band" (in an album review, not even at a gig ). Mind you, the keys were not programmed but recorded by a real keyboard player.

I bet a Bootsy Collins Space Bass would be painful (any brand, Washburn, Traben, Warwick). Very pointy headstocks too, for additional drama. This one was by far his pointiest:

I use a Cort NTL-B acoustic fretless through an EBS NeoDrome 12 (a Line6 Lowdown Studio 110 in the past) and that combination sounds great. I have bright bronze roundwound strings on it now, but I've had flatwounds on it too in the past and it sounds eerily close to an upright with flats.

The ATK405, the Prestige ATK1305 or the more recent ATK805 (the really posh model with the wooden pickguard) and 1205 which have both pickups placed closer to eachother. Contrary to earlier twin-pickup ATK's, it has the regular single-pickup ATK bridge, so the humbucker is further from the bridge (in the regular Stingray sweet spot). All other twin-pickup ATK's have the humbucker mounted closer to the bridge. Not sure if the current 1205 is available here though.

That's really pretty! They should also do one with dots and binding, and lollipop tuners. I see they're also finally offering the JB75 reissue with the correct bridge pickup position. About time! I love the JB75B with black blocks and binding! I also think that JB62 Smart Size is cute. But I think the specs are off... 373,5 mm scale translates to less than 15", that can't be right can it? Looks more like 30" to me.

I don't know about LTD, but I have a Japanese-made ESP Horizon g**t*r (sorry) and it is absolutely spotless. Beautiful fretwork, great neck, just a very good guitar.
