1.
If I get peaks and troughs when I'm playing it's because I want them there.
^^^^^ this.
2. ^^^ That's the master, right there.
3. Here's some pics. Sorry they're not very good - I didn't have a decent camera with me.
4.
Thanks, I would love to try the 1126, it sounds ideal for my needs and 2 should cover me for all venues. They are considerably more expensive than the S112, but I need clean, deep bass at volume. It's a shame Bassgear is so far away, maybe Tommy will find someone further north to also stock some demos - Eg. http://greatbritishbasslounge.com/ (hint hint) .
Yep - I'm pretty sure two would give you all the clean bass you need!
5.
Thanks for the reviews - TKS seem to be the new benchmark for 12" cabs I would like to know how the 1126 compares to the S112, particularly in it's deep bass performance. I'm considering a pair for my dub reggae band and I don't need any treble or upper mids.
I've spent a bit of time with both.... this is all in IMO / IME: The 1126 feels like a compact one-cab solution. It's a bit bigger than the S112, and will certainly go louder than a single S112. It's 'wider' sounding than the S112 - inherently bigger lows and more highs. That's not to say it's mid-scooped, mind.
6. Bit of a report here... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/248837-cn112-v-sl112-v-s112
7. Glad these cabs are getting the recognition they deserve :-)
8. Rick Rosas, a regular member of Neil Young's band amongst others, has died :-( A great but low-key player, as a regular Lakland user, he has a signature edition in Dan Lakin's new range. RIP Rick. http://neilyoungnews.thrasherswheat.org/2014/11/rick-rosas-1949-2014.html
9. Who is the owner of the quote? They should be congratulated!

11. Tommy's just posted this pic on Facebook... mine are ordered :-)
12.
That's the problem with GAS: it often bears little relation to reality. I was the same with the Walkabout head: wanted one desperately, finally got one, I think it went back to the seller (WoT IIRC) the following week in a mutually beneficial regret-based transaction. He loves it and missed it, I thought it was a bit 'meh' and couldn't see what all the fuss was about.
It was indeed myself. How I love it so!
13. Actually, I should learn to read properly. It's not a Who show as such. There's a house band. Meh.
14. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY IMAGINARY MONEY WHICH I DON'T HAVE!
15.
Have to say that although I don't get on with Jazzes this is possibly my favourite Limelight so far...
Cheers! It's certainly got it goin' on.
16. Yeah - from what I gather Mark's 'light' relic is not quite as light as you might expect.
17. Nope to subdivisions - there are too many as it is, and one man's 'upper budget' range is another man's 'lower mid-range' etc. Stuff will fall into the cracks.
18.
Not that it matter much, but the previous version of the S112 (front ported) was just called the 112. Your upcoming cabinet is an S112, your old ones were (both) 112:s. The S in the name marks the difference between the old and new style.
Whoops... I've always referred to them as S112s. Sorry about that!
19. Ghost Bass - I admit I've always preferred front-ported cabs, but for 'gut feeling' reasons. I've had no hard evidence to back it up. However, I can put it to the test soon, as I've replaced my front-ported S112 with a soon-to-arrive new-style rear-ported S112... :-)
20.
Make sure you play it before committing. I played a '77 P recently that looked amazing but sounded........ ok. Wasn't worth the very hefty price tag as an instrument to be played, but maybe as an object to hold on to and hope it increases in value.
Of course this advice applies to any bass, regardless of when it was made...
21. Seems legit.
22.
I was probably one of the people who answered WoT's questions about TKS cabs. Having owned both a 212 and now two W2126, I can only say I love em.
Yep - it's all your fault and I'm very grateful.
23.
You mean something like this? If you have the time, come by Monday evening and they'll be waiting for you.
