    FWIW, if anyone is interested in this amazing head and fancies a change from the orange look, I have spare white and red frames that I'd be happy to send out for the price of the postage. (As you'd expect from Handbox, they're proper hefty steel). This style, but white or red. GLWTS, SFN!

    After seeing the recent ‘Too Shy’ video, I had this discussion with some pals. Loads of stuff was dismissed my my peers and I back in the day for being ‘too poppy’. Imagine if pop music was as good as that today?

    Reason one: It's to keep the zero-attention-span kids of 2023 interested. Reson two: It's less labour-intensive to do hard cuts like that, than meticulously pore over each edit to make is as silky as possible.

    How often did / do the band gig?

    Problem is, you could provide a list of dates to your band for which you’re technically available… but what If you don’t want to gig three nights every weekend? That’s where the dep comes in handy. You can work it out with them to get a night off every now and then.

    But... the more you use deps, the better they get. What I'm trying to say is... if you're not happy with the amount of gigs the drummer can do, sack him and get another one that can do more. If there isn't another drummer who can do more gigs waiting in the wings, work with what you have. Needs must, and all that.

    Assuming you're not an originals band 'going for it', and the quality is maintained.... does it matter as long as the gig happens?

    It’s all a bit hit-and-miss. As Dave mentions above, some have slipped through the net, and others (me included) paid £50, but that was for the WB which was more expensive in the first place. Factor in 20% and you might get a pleasant surprise.

    Yes it would - as you suggest I’d recommend a short XLR > XLR before it, as not to have it sticking out of the front of your amp. 20dB is quite a reduction, but I think it’ll be right.
