  1. I've had both and I'm sure there's lots of science behind the improvements but to be honest in a band situation I was hard pushed to tell the difference. They just both sounded great to my ears. The Super 12s do hold their prices but used Super Twins can usually be had for not too much more if you're prepared to wait for one to come up. If you've got the spare cash for new go for the Super Twin, but you certainly won't be disappointed if you decide to go for the older model.
  2. No worries. They're both great cabs but if stand alone volume is a key factor, I'd always go for the 2x12 (it's effectively two gen 2 compacts in one box).
  3. Yes, by a long way. Here's the link to the Super 12 spec: https://barefacedbass.com/product-range/super-twelve.htm
  4. I recently sold a bass to a guy in the US. I used UPS booked through interparcel. All went very smoothly. It’s the same process as normal but along with the address label there will also be a Commercial Invoice (or Customs Invoice) form to print out and fill in. You’ll need to attach 3 copies of this to the package along with the address label. Any Import duty to be paid at the other end is down to the purchaser.
  5. There are a couple of Super 12 Cabs in the marketplace at the moment (forerunner of the Super Twin). Not much taller than a compact, 4ohms and will go as loud as you’ll probably ever need.
  6. I do like the look of these. I played through one of the first generation RM's at a rehearsal room a couple of years back (through a Laney 2x10 iirc) and it sounded great. The only thing that I couldn't get on with was the shiny fascia. That coupled with a dimly lit rehearsal room meant I couldn't see a thing. Now they've changed the fascia finish I may well look at them again as an occasional alternative to my trusty old Trace heads. I actually preferred the RM over the ABM 600 I briefly owned.
  7. Sold some tuners to Jake. All went smoother than a greased up smooth thing. Trade with confidence. 👍 Many thanks again.
  8. Can't comment on the Jazz specifically but I do have a Status Precision neck and a new Status 4 string. The precision neck is certainly a lot more 'C' in shape than the standard Status neck. There is a discernible 'flat' area as you come down to the dusty end on the Precision, but it's nowhere near as 'D' in feel as the standard Status.
  9. 4no. Hipshot Ultralite (Licensed) HB6 Tuners 3/8", black Y key, right handed. In very good condition. £50 posted to GB.
  10. @martthebass had already seen it. I knew where to draw the line!! 🤣🤣🤣
  11. I was just thinking the same thing 😂
  12. I bought this a few months back and save for two strips of velcro on the bottom, it's in as new condition (still has the original plastic strips over the screens). I've updated it to the latest 2.92 firmware but reset everything else to factory. Comes complete with original box etc. £320 posted to GB or £310 collected. Now £300 shipped to GB or £290 collected EDIT - I also have both the red and green cable adaptors to enable the use of various power supplies that I can throw in for an extra £10.
  13. Toto's infamous claim that Kilimanjaro rises above the Serengeti.
  14. As @Merton has said I would say it’s TE raiding the parts bin. The vast majority of SM models with this continuous green line fascia were tolex covered. The green ‘rat fur’ came later so I think your example is a bit of a transition piece from around the phasing out of the 350 in favour of the new 400.
  15. I think that's the problem. It appears to have already been heavily ransacked for spares and so asking £120 for a chassis, with no knobs, no pots, no graphic eq and no knowledge of exactly what has been left inside is pushing it just a little.
  16. I'd contact @KiOgon. Tell him what wires you currently have coming from your pickup, what passive controls you need (vol, tone, blend etc) and I'm sure he'd be able to make you a solderless loom to suit your needs at a very reasonable price.

  18. There will be foam underneath that has become attached to the pickup. The only tiny bit of damage on my SB-R150 is around the pickup where a previous owner had clearly tried to lever out the original pickup. I would suggest some form of gripper/clamps from above (strings off of course). These pickups are full of epoxy so pretty robust to give them a good squeezing in order to pull straight upwards. Oh and congratulations on bringing a lovely old bass back to life. 👍
  19. Beautiful song. Without wishing to bring things down, this will be on my funeral tunes list ☠️
  20. That's another half hour of my life I'll spend looking at things I don't need but want, in this case a Hofner Commitee and a MIJ 51 P 🙄
