1. In the 60's we were looking for a girl singer to front our band, seekers=alike stuff and we went to this woman's house for a singalong tryout. when we met she said: do you know 'Life is just a bowl of cherries' in 5/4 time? we sort of looked at each other and said no so she sang: Life is just a bowl of f--k'n cherries.. oh how we laughed. she was too old really, good club voice though.

  19. Hiya all, here is my EB0 that I bought here a short while ago to try out short scale with a view to buy a Glibson LP DC. However I can't get used to it so it has to go and I'll stick to Fenders. Bass is in superb condition and plays faultlessly. E string.
I have had nothing but great results from D'Addario balanced tension (medium). Fantastic D'Ad sound and they really do all feel very balanced. I love a low tension so used to hate the floppy-E thing. If you wanted to try a set I'd be more than willing to take them off your hands if you didn't like them, I'm about to buy a new set anyway.
I will send for a set and see how they go, no dead spots on my basses that I can detect....

    E string.

Some good thoughts there guys, thanks for the input, my strings shouldn't be the problem as they are all new and generally sound fine. I'll have a play with pickup heights and see what happens, maybe the strings are a bit under tensioned or a bit 'floppy' compared to the rest..... I'm a bit wary about trying other strings and are a bit expensive to just 'throw away' if I don;t like them.
