2.
Many Jazz bass wiring relies on the mechanical connection between the mounting of pots & jack socket onto the metal bell plate, it saves .02 pence worth of extra wire but of course as soon as you get a loose nut or even a bit of corrosion under your nuts any earthing is at best - intermittent & doubtful It appears from your photo' that the pots are not of the 'highest quality' & also they are 500K Linear, which is certainly not what I would recommend for a Jazz Bass they are probably at the end of their useful life anyway! I would suggest a new wiring kit would go a long way to solving all your problems
Absolutely agree, this man makes the best quality wiring kits. Any bass I've owned and fitted one to has been perfect.
  3. Hi guys, In my little music room I have my Imac and about 7 feet away my Markbass CMD 151 combo, when the mac is on and I want to rehearse a tune it's very difficult because it sets off a crackling on my E string when I play it, there is a little bit on the A string and nothing on the D or G, it;s a lot like interference on a radio with a bad signal. If I turn the mac off the interference goes so it must be the mac causing it. Not a lot of use when playing along with a song! If I move the amp to another room the problem goes away. Seems to be getting worse. Anyone come across this before? Thanks for any help. tom.

  18. Here, very reluctantly is my Precision, it's dated 2012 and I bought it brand new in 2014. Used rarely it is in immaculate condition. I have mentioned this bass in topics because it has a very responsive and loud pickup, it's better to my ears than my USA Precision. The neck is sublime with well finished edges and the action is low and rattle free. It came with a white guard but I think the Tort is better. If you want the white one putting back on I will change it. It weighs a reasonable 9lbs, neck is 41mm as near as I can tell. I will also change my straplocks back. Gigbag included, these basses are about £750 new now. Anything else? well I don't want to sell it but needs must. the price is firm at £430 including delivery. Thanks for reading, pics: I've had a request for neck pocket pics so here is that excellent tight joint, never been removed. 19. Was in GFM last week and have also bought all kinds of stuff online and the more you buy the better the prices get, we bought a Roland acoustic amp and it was 50 quid cheaper than anywhere else. Customer service is always top notch, never had a problem and I'm going to buy a Yamaha mixer & some speakers very soon.
  20.
Hiya Tom, hope you are on the mend me owd fruit bat This bass SHOULD be equipped with Fender N3 noiseless pick ups. Those pups have N3 written on them (link) http://www.thomann.d..._pickup_set.htm I was pm'd last night pointing out these pups aren't. In 2 or 3 years it never occurred, I honestly had never noticed. I will take it to bits this weekend and take some photos, but, depending on what I find, it may well go back up to the more sensible £950. Either price, I still think, even as it is, it's a good trade against something like an American 75 RI Jazz.
I'm getting better all the time Karl me awd buddy I get the pickup thing now.
