  1. Reverend makes some of the best basses out there. Recently bought a Thundergun after having to sell mine a few years ago. Really like the Decision with that finish Dare to be different!
  2. The anodized The anodized gold pickguard makes it special.

    NBD OBass

Much better choice than the Junior Jet.
  4. Best-looking bass it the store the day I tried it out. Played it for a good fifteen minutes. I have to say the tone was everything you'd want from a P bass..but it just didn't work for me. Wasn't actually a comfort issue, wasn't simply the neck...it was something I couldn't quite put my finger on. Funny thing is, I bought the Squier 40th-Anniversary Vintage P bass just last week...picked it up and knew without even plugging it in that I wasn't leaving the store without it. (Sorry, not a fan of the Player series basses...and I've tried quite a few.)
  5. No maple here but still looks special with black hardware. Sold it way back when and I've regretted it ever since.
  6. How disappointing! Only a few basses with that issue, but... https://www.talkbass.com/threads/mike-kerr-signature-bass-problems-fender-did-it-again.1618996/
  7. As someone once said, "Very interesting!" As someone else said, "Limited to how many they can sell."
  8. I forget when this one first came out, 2014 or 2015, but Fender apparently doesn't know what limited edition means, since they're still making them.
  9. Not to mention the money. What, $1,500 and up.
  10. Yes, the same can be said regarding the Precision or Jazz bass...one way to go.
  11. Dean Exotica, the older model with the Aphex System electronics...Aural Exciter and Big-Bottom Sound. So good I had to buy two.
  12. You should seriously consider a better one. Other than that, don't listen to the deriders and don't buy into that "hollow-body or semi-hollow is the way to go" line.
  13. Some people don't like the satin finish, but hey, I have plenty of shiny basses, and this one stands alone.
  14. Sometimes you buy a bass because it looks so damned good!
  15. The funny thing is, I sought it out based on the videos Andy Irvine posted on YouTube, must be half a dozen different ones. https://youtu.be/Q43cb02XMw0
  16. Bought it Sunday, shipped yesterday afternoon, arrived today before noon! Thanks, UPS, not for leaving the box on my front porch and driving away...never received email confirmation from them, never received tracking number, etc...but very fast delivery!
  17. Gotta love that TB, the flat black finish with the red tort pickguard looks great...not to mention the full fret access is a big plus. Nice photos, too...I'm not a fan of all those "bass sitting in its stand" photos. I just don't like the unnecessary, cluttered background.
  18. Fender prices are going up soon once more so add $100 at least to the MIM basses...probably not the MK Jaguar, but I'm glad so many people are finding some Squiers are better alternatives. Let's not forget Reverend, Sire, Bacchus, etc.
  19. Yes, Reverend Thundergun. I started a thread about the Citradelic Sunset Thundergun about a week ago. Couldn't go with that color. Now this one looks fantastic, and I got it for $350 off! I've always liked Guntmetal, Graphite Metallic, Midnight Satin, etc, and this one's my favorite example. The simple change from the older version's black pickguard to white really puts it over the top.
  20. ...I might just take this one with me when I go! Reverend Thundergun Best-kept secret in the bass world.
