    I have been through few amps over the years. All selections based on either some perception of need, or curiosity. I try to stick to 3 at any one time but slacking presently with 4 full choices on hand including two full tube rigs that have only had a handful of gigs between them in the last two years. Don't get me started on preamps.

    I play the NXT omni. Flatting out the fingers gets more of the DB less of the BG. Playing it like a big BG is fun too. At the last jazz festival the guy playing a CR didn't sound significantly different to me from where I was standing.

    Downunderwonder checking in. If you don't know me you soon will. Mostly I play jazz these days but sometimes sit in as bassist for the night at the odd open mic.
