2. BUMP!! I just bought the Tokai Hardpuncher off Tom recently and its came in Mint Condition AND Fantastically Packaged - took me a good thirty minutes to get it out haha. I would highly recommend buying up the remaining two basses with confidence!! I've had prior experience with several corts and wish I still had one in my collection, no doubt that ones of the same quality.
3. Sounds and looks a lil like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o99LRDZCV0U
4. OOOOO woulda had that if it had MEC's. All the best with the sale!
5. Nothing like a bit o 80's Glam Rock.... or perhaps thats just me! Up for sale is my beloved Ultra Rare 1988 USA JACKSON CHARVEL STAR GUITAR Great condition for a 22 year old guitar! However someone has changed the strap buttons even though it balanced before anyways. Couple o scuffs. It has an explorer gigbag. Now for the pro's: Specs: Alder Unique Charvel Star body as inspired by Eddie Van Halen (known as the Shark) and used by Chris Holmes of WASP (my two favourite guitarists). 'Shattered Glass' Graphic (original Jackson Charvel paintjob). Original Floyd Rose Bridge with original Jackson tremolo bar (make sure you know how to tune before buying). Unlaquered Charvel Eastern Hardrock Maple neck with 22 Fret Rosewood fingerboard (David Gilmour of Pink Floyd used to import them for his Strat! Probably the best feature, none better). Jackson Black Grover tuners (when the guitars tuned it stays so for about a month). Single Bridge position pickup, currently a high output white Seymour duncan distortion as used by Paul Stanley (KISS) and Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd). Allegedly the original hotrod pickup. Cracking tone! Chrome Rotary knobs x2 volume and tone. PERFECT FOR THE METAL/ ROCKBAND OUTFIT. IN AMERICA THE GUITAR ALONE GOES FOR $2000 AND THE NEW CUSTOM REISSUES ARE £1200 - £1500 USUALLY. THE NEW FACTORY VERSIONS HAD POOR FINISHES AND ELECTRONICS YET STILL WENT FOR £600!
6. Ahh Monkey Island....takes me back- If you have the second i'll buy it off you. Do you have a price?
7. Thanks Rich I'm not overly desperate for a sale, but I do need the money to afford my rent in an expensive uni room next year... and to get away from the mental bunch i currently live with. So I may open this up to overseas shipping after checking the costs. I think if i let it go for any less than £900 collected I'd be kicking myself.
8.
Yep, I just want to know if he wanted to sell it or not? Yes my english is poor, i'm from belgium \o/ Sorry :'(
Ah no worries, the bass is probably sold, just pending the payment now but if that falls through you'll be the first to know. YEAH!! Show me the parcelforce picture, i've always used em and they've been fine - apart from they should be called Parcelforce 72 as opposed to 48....
9. Just coughed all my hot chocolate down my front...
10. They're bloody impressive (I love the powerful active jazz setting to bits, never got a chance to gig it) but I desperately need the funds for university!! Apologies that I can't put any sound clips up, its up in Carlisle waiting to be packaged; Youtubes is the only alternative. Any offers?
11. If your not after Cash only, I'd point you towards Shaggy, he's got some cracking basses to trade AND he's looking for a Wal AND! he's right next to us in Swansea (save ebay commission + postage) AND!!! He's a great chap to do a deal with. Win win situation...
12.
As a sort of guideline regarding the price, 4 years ago I bought a 1989 pre Fender Kubicki Ex-Factor here for £600 on the boards (Bassworld) when the economy was doing better. So if that was what was gained for the more desireable model, perhaps your price is just a tad high.
Thats a bargain!! I've seen ex factors go for £800 - £1100, I wouldn't sell mine for £600. Quality wise its way better than a Musicman, If I were buying a backup for it I'd happily pay £750-£800 and wouldnt think twice about it IMHO. I watched a key factor go on ebay for £800 recently too. I think due to how rare they are and the unique hardware, electronics, look and feel £650 is a VERY fair price. If I managed to get round to putting up soundclips it would have been sold.
13. I'd drop the price is the buyer agreed to both of those conditions, I've just priced it as if I were using Parcelforce 48 and Paypal
14. Hmm, only thing holding me back from that is that im including postage and the 3.4% deduction from Paypal
15. Is this a bad price or something?

17.
These aren't from the Japanese Tokai factory! They are chinese.
???
18. Recent purchase from Paddy Blight (Knick Knack), I hope he doesnt mind me using his photo! Another great Bcer to deal with btw!!! Unbranded Fiesta Red Japanese Jazz Bass 2007 of the Tokai Factory in Great Condition. Tortoise Shell pickguard and Rosewood Fingerboard, stick an (Elusive) set of Dimarzio UltraJazzes in it and it'll sing like a fender easy. I would have kept it but I haven't got the measley funds for a new set of pickups and i'm urgently after a Guitar amp plus uni books. I've also picked up a Guild 1978 B301-F that suits my sound down to the ground so no trades please. Comes with a Fender Strap and set of fitted straplocks - no case or gigbag at current.
19. Funk Machine 1994 USA Californian Custom made Kubicki Key Factor. This bass was made as the Review Model for this series and featured in Guitar Magazine, of which I own a copy which will come with the bass, along with a hardshell case. Specs: 34" Bolt on Hard Rock Maple Neck with Curved Brazilian Rosewood 24 fret fingerboard. Jazz neck profile with signature kubicki dash inlays (Recommend for speedy players with small hands!) Gloss Polyurethane Tobacco Sunburst Eastern Soft Maple body bearing "Factor by Phillip Kubicki". Black M4 Schaller/Kubicki alloy hardware. Custom Wound Kubicki hum cancelling soapbar pickups. Stacked volume and tone knobs for each soapbar and 6 way preamp selector. Plush interior Hardshell case (non-kubicki) The bass can provide both active and passive Jazz and Precision bass tones. How?! six way preamp selector. The bass also has a flat motown style sound, useful for Rocco Prestia and your James Jamerson covers. The 6th position mutes the bass and all feedback entirely, which is a handy addition. Uses the same electronics as the Kubicki Ex factor for your Stu Hamm and Vail Johnson tones but is tuned at the headstock as opposed to the bridge and has 24 frets instead of 23. Just a lil sound clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PCN2uHZ61U The bass has been previously setup and well looked after - has minimal fretwear, action is low and the neck is straight. The pickups are cureved and act as a ramp in line with the curve of the fretboard. Well looked after only some hairline scratches. Can provide more photos if needed.
20. Top chap to do a deal with! If this was up a few weeks ago, woulda been mine
21. That sounds A LOT like a Kubicki - AWESOME!! I'll have to look into them
22. Just bought a 1978 Guild B301 from Greg (Shaggy) this morning, its sweeeeet!! Quick trade, no hassle, cracking price, free strings, well looked after bass and offered to let me come try it out beforehand. I had stinging hangover, the shakes and swayin a little; he didn't even point it out, proper gentleman . I'm going to be keeping my eye on the stuff he's putting up for sale, real unusual USA rock relics at a fantastic price. Currently up a USA BC Rich Eagle and Fender 70s Fretless P!! Both at which I took a shot a trading . Would love to do a deal again in the future. Cheers Greg
