I was hoping to hang onto this bass for a while longer, but my amp bag was nicked from my car last night which has left a large hole in my pre-Xmas finances. Eden WTX500, Radial Tonebone, Zoom H2 recorder, etc. etc. All gone. :)

Lots more piccies: http://tinypic.com/a/r1xe/3

For full history and spec, take a look at: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=52472

To get the best out of the Bartolini’s, the bass is now equipped with a ToneStyler pot (take a look at http://www.stellartone.com/ToneStylerBass.asp ) which cost $110 but is worth every cent.

£450 , or £500 including hard case, if collected from Chiswick (London W4) or the West End (London WC1).

Make an offer if you like - you never know.

I will post/courier, but at the buyer’s cost and the buyer’s risk. If sent by post/courier, it MUST be in a hard case.

Sorry to hear about the theft mate! :)

My mate had a load of gear, moulded in-ears & unit, mics etc, nickec out of his car, and he managed to claim on his house insurance. So maybe that's an avenue?!

Good luck with the sale!

Regrettably, neither insurance nor blood-stains apply.

The car was in the car park of a pub where my drummer and I were jamming. He forgot his sticks and had to go back for them.

When we went back to the car two hours later, the back door was wide open. He'd either locked the car with the door still open or - more likely - forgotten to lock the car at all.

I'd never really understood why there are drummer jokes ...

Sorry to hear the news Jack! I've had gear nicked before and it's a horrible feeling...

Just to say that I've played this bass and it's really fantastic; the action is lovely, it's veryy versatile tonally and really well made!

Good luck with the sale..

Thanks guys.

Luckily I'm a bit of a gear-head (cries of "No! Surely not!") so much of what got nicked can be replaced - at least temporarily - by a trawl through my garage. It's not ideal, especially just before a week when I have two gigs.

I'd already decided just a week ago to switch basses for these gigs (don't ask - long story) so the result is that I'll now walk on stage carrying a different bass, running through a different pre-amp into a different rig.

Reckon I'll still be using the same fingers, though.

:)

That's awful, Jack, really sorry to hear it.

 • 2 months later...

Seeing as this didn't sell before Xmas, I've been having fun with it in my Music Room (hah!) at home.

However, I'm now lusting after that Bravewood P-bass so I could be really quite flexible with offers for a quick sale.

Go on ... try me. This bass has a truly monster tone and real presence in the mix.

That doesn't surprise me, y'know. That Goodfellow is one very fine bass.
