  1. I like to switch between and preferably on the same bass. If you're playing live, active.
  2. Cort A6 was my favourite, but I think the string spacing is tighter than a Yammy.
  3. Chris responds quickly from their Facebook page.
  4. For me, this was the last good Cort bass (before they started doing weird stuff).
  5. Nooo - I'd just put a cream Dimarzio Model P in it and put it back in the wardrobe.
  6. I prefer to use flats on basses with more wallop than a P. I've gone from D'Addario rounds to half-rounds for now, just to see if I can get best of both worlds.
  7. I'm using ENR71 half-rounds (along with my usual Rotos and TIs) and the jury is out on the D'Addarios at the moment, although they do feel a bit light. I've always used D'Addario and Elixir rounds.
  8. Alder? Looks like Alder. Proper bit of kit.
  9. Anybody else trying half-rounds?
  10. I'd also be going to Shuker if it was for a P Bass.
  11. I find myself reaching for the semi-acoustic and active fretless now... They just make you want to play. What scale is that? I find Warwick profiles/shapes slightly different, so it takes me a month to get used to them - I'd imagine Spector are the same, but it has been so long since I played one. (Love Bart soap bars)
  12. I like Rotos for fretted and TIs for fretless - Rotos are more musical and TIs are more traditional/upright sounding. I'm currently trying D'Addario half rounds, but I have another set of Rotos in reserve.
  13. Thank you - Guitar equivalent of Overwater/Marleaux Was £2,800 in 2007 from a shop called 'High End Guitars' that has now closed (I've only seen one other).
  14. Bought some strings from waveydavy, which were dispatched to me 'pronto' and arrived safe and sound due to being securely packaged. Great, slick communication and a very smooth transaction! Will keep an eye out for Dave's stuff in the future. Thanks very much😁
  15. If any of my guitars deserve the heart button, it's this one...

  18. I was looking at similar and went to a G&L L2500, then a Carvin SB5000 / Kiesel JB5. If you're happy to look a bit broader, I found the Peavey stuff to be good (although most are 35" scale).

  20. Thought this would have sold by now... Made alongside the Epiphone Elitist, which sell for double. Today's equivalent would be the FGN LC10.
  21. Thank you - I always used to end up Jonesin' for the Carvins when they appeared in Bass Magazine, plus all my books were by Ed Friedland (when he was endorsed). I've just put a brand new set of strings on for the next owner.
