You can get a good Precision for £300 if it's made of the 'right' timbers.
I've had over a 100 basses now and those I've kept hold of are in the £750 to £1,000 bracket.
My late Overwater was a bit of a luxury, but still sub £2,000.
7.5" - I'll play any neck profile and 33/34" scale only.
The only profile with a 34" scale neck that I haven't been able to get around, is that of a G&L L2500.
I prefer to use flats on basses with more wallop than a P.
I've gone from D'Addario rounds to half-rounds for now, just to see if I can get best of both worlds.
I'm using ENR71 half-rounds (along with my usual Rotos and TIs) and the jury is out on the D'Addarios at the moment, although they do feel a bit light.
I've always used D'Addario and Elixir rounds.
I find myself reaching for the semi-acoustic and active fretless now... They just make you want to play.
What scale is that? I find Warwick profiles/shapes slightly different, so it takes me a month to get used to them - I'd imagine Spector are the same, but it has been so long since I played one.
