  2. If you have the ES-175 style Gigmaster, that's really hard to find! I was hunting one of those for a long time, as I'm a big Steve Howe fan 😁.
  3. Ivor Mairants of London 17" Archtop Jazz Guitar A special edition made by Peerless Est. 1970 in South Korea (who no longer export), for Ivor Mairants of London, who were the go to shop for Archtop Jazz Guitars for 61 years (now closed). I've owned over 100 guitars and basses due to a misspent youth where I should have been playing, but I can honestly say that this is the best looking guitar/bass that I've owned - It really is a work of art. All stock and as new w/ D'Addario flatwound 12s. Specifications: Body: 17" Laminated Flamed Maple w/ Solid Flamed Maple Archtop Finish: Honeyburst Gloss Neck: Maple w/ D'Aquisto Headstock Nut: Bone Fingerboard: Rosewood w/ Aged White, Black & Abalone Binding Frets: 20 Scale: 25.5" Pickups: Underwound Alnico V '57 Classic Humbucker Hardware: Gold Grover Imperials Incl. 4. These are incredible for the money - Very durable with a high quality sound and more than enough volume.
  5. No nonsense '57 with a slightly hotter pickup - The model made quite a buzz on Talkbass years ago (and completely whooped my Fret King Green Label).
  6. Thank you all - I nearly bought the Bassmaster Player as well 😃 What flatwounds do you use? I was thinking Rotosound, but I have D'Addario flats on the guitar (quite bright).
  7. 2004 FENDER STRATOCASTER GUITAR - Made in Japan Nationally, there isn't one cheaper than this... Professionally setup and in very good condition - Nothing needs to be changed. Specifications... 8. Thank you all - Peerless' are perfectly made, so I'd recommend any model. The 'retro' ones don't look as good, but play and sound great and they don't export anymore. My guitar was a special edition for Ivor Mairants in London, but it has an underwound '57 classic that doesn't suit me - I'd prefer something 'plummier'. It also has a solid maple top as opposed to the laminate. The pickups and hardware on the bass are brilliant, so it sounds just like you'd want it to, with plenty of wallop if needed. It is wearing rounds at the moment though. I'd love to see the natural version @Johnboybassman - I think that would be the best finish, considering how flashy the grain is! Hard to capture on camera for the red.
  9. Peerless Smoked Bass Custom (Made in South Korea) Jack Casady meets Jack Bruce and anyone else playing a Gibson/Harmony/Hofner/Guild style. This was Peerless' flagship bass and the craftsmanship is incredible; so much so, that I bought the guitar version too, available at the same price and also in as new condition... Specifications: Body: 17" Laminated Flame Maple (Archtop) Finish: Wine Red Gloss Neck: 5 Ply Maple & Mahogany Nut: Bone Fingerboard: Rosewood w/ Aged White, Black & Abalone Binding Frets: 20 Scale: 34" Pickups: Ceramic 8 'Side Winder' w/ Alnico Humbucker Hardware: Gold Incl. 10. Dean Paramount 4 (Made in South Korea) £550 new and in 'new old stock' condition with original branded (faux?) leather gigbag. These are a bit special if you can find them and this one took me ages to find. It isn't a platform for modding and I'd put it up against anything sub £1,000. Allegedly the CEO of Dean got involved with designing this one himself, alongside its 'Juggernaut' counterpart - Hopefully you can see how good it is from the below... Specifications: Body: Alder Finish: Three tone sunburst Neck: U-profile oiled flatsawn maple Fingerboard: Flatsawn maple cap Frets: 22 Jumbo Scale: 34" Pickup: Dean Magnetic Technologies Split P Humbucker Hardware: Solid chrome Strings: D'Addario Weight: 8.8lbs Pictures: https://i.imgur.com/rlro0nt.jpg https://i.imgur.com/V90WDvY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8mNgsi0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Y30n3un.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VgSR6A0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nNGsX1z.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kQx1AFs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RE10mva.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fxuV7Er.jpg Tone Clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdL0XLNo47Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFfrbkybFwE £300 cash on collection from Carlisle, Cumbria, or bank transfer £25 P&P for UK Mainland only. 11. I have a fretless SB5000 - It's wonderful. Got that 70s J sound in abundance.
  12. I really wanted this to be my first bass. GLWTS!
  13. Jeez...I just bought something like this. What's the spec?
  14. What scale is it Andy? 32"?
  15. Can anyone guess where he's based?
  16. Gah - Shame you're not closer to Cumbria, as I like the G&L
  17. Is the pickup original to 19760? "Refretted by me"...Are you a luthier? "Prefer collection"...Where are you based? Grade D - More effort required.
  18. Musicman seem to have a problem with neck pockets at the moment - Their guitars are the same.
