  1. I think I sold mine for £650, but that was about 5 years ago. They're excellent basses for under £1k and I only sold mine because there's no passive option.
  2. It was posted after Noon in the UK
  3. I've had one strat where I could use the bridge single coil and that was on an old G&L, so all my strats now have a humbucker there. Still the best guitar.
  4. That's a beauty - Looks white on my laptop.
  5. Cheers Guys - The neck pickup on the SG2000 is the biz!! It's a real shame that the bridge pickup lets the guitar down as a whole (not a drop in replacement either ).
  6. I've owned a Stingray and a Sterling and the neck profile on the Sterling was fine, but there was dead spots (5th fret D and G); I've come across this on two other 90s models. The asymmetrical neck profile on the Stingray wasn't as comfortable IMO, due to the extra width. I didn't realize you had to be Pro-EBMM to post on this thread. Either way, £2400 is extortionate.
  7. He says "I don't make Reissues"...So what are the Classics? And he only wants £2400 for it. "It plays almost like a fretless" *hits one string...Buzzzzz*
  8. Hmm...Can't get past the Marketing BS.
  9. Really like both of those! Congratulations
  10. From my experience, no bass / guitar is worth more than £1500 - I spent £3000 on a PRS and there was no improvement between that and a £1500 Yamaha (from a Player's perspective). If you bring 'Art' into it, then I would pay more for a particularly nice Facing or Paintjob etc...but that's 'Art'.
  11. Martin Lee of Overwater used to teach my lessons on a bass very much like this...I wonder if it's the same one
  12. Basswood has a great even tone across the strings and I really like it. People say stupid stuff about it like "it's the cheapest timber" etc. The only thing I would mention is that it's soft, so it can ding/scratch up easily, but it's structurally sound. I had a Basswood Superstrat for 3 years and you could see indentations where it had been sitting in it's stand (the metal has started to come through the foam).
  13. Listened to Dave La Rue play one with Joe Satriani and Johnny A.s Bassist before him and dayum there was some great tones. I love the 'Egyptian Smoke' finish you have there.
  14. That's a good looking 80s bass - Really like Pewter finishes.
  15. Another one for the Stingray - It's just much too much.
