Last one on this site went for £700 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=Jass+Deluxe while a 5'er of the same model went for £800 ono. You can search the FS forum. Sorry to disappoint but depreciation on used Fenders is a bit nasty (I know having sold a few myself!)
It may be worse than the OP imagines Clarky, as the bass you've linked to was actually a USA 'FMT' model... Some Deluxes have sold for even less than £700... £650 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...eluxe&st=20 £600 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...z+fender+deluxe There have been other similar basses advertised for more but they tend to sit around for a while (with one famous example taking quite some time to sell). Good luck with the sale though.

I love the way in the space of a couple of hours the same person incrementally checks out the other bidder and bids it up... I always shy away from these auctions!

Best way to keep Warwick wenge/ovangkol conditioned?
warwickhunt replied to Kev's topic in Accessories and Misc
Don't use a lot of wax (if any) on the neck and not on the fingerboard as the residue isn't that great for player comfort (or string life if used on the f'board). If the bass is in regular use then the natural oils from your hands will be sufficient to keep the neck oiled and as has been said a wipe with lemon oil when you're changing strings will do the trick. You can wipe the back of the neck with a light wax but if it needs a bit of extra polish just use the lemon oil you use on the f'board. As to some Warwicks looking very polished etc, you'll find that player use/wear is the best thing to get them looking good. The older boards look a lot more slick than 'some' of the newer ones and part of that is use, part is the cut of timber used. -
Glockenklang Bass Art Top on ebay Germany

Is this your amp Oliver? -
Warwick SS I basses have the P reversed and logic does dictate that it would tighten the E & A strings but you have to ask why old Leo did the way that he did in the first place?
Only bit of the car worth keeping
Tell me about it! The rest of the car rotted and all that was left were these roof bars.

Official Chrysler items. Don't have the keys but an allen key fits them on and off. They must go in the next few days as we are moving house next weekend. Free if you collect them from Blyth, Northumberland.

Bassline Incognito Custom 4 (P-J) + hardcase: £ SOLD !!!
warwickhunt replied to eubassix's topic in Basses For Sale
.... protocol dicates that I must leave it up to the buyer to reveal his true identity. But you're in the Extreme North / Boreders (....not much to do up there) John. This was more NY ..... and nice to meet-up with another BC'er in person...
Yes us 'run-away-Jocks' are a bit isolated and by crickey we're suffering/burning under these present weather conditions! -
On its way out again already? What have you spotted now?
I'm in the process off fixing up my Warwick and I'm likely to get a cheaper Squier CV P (possibly with a pup upgrade) to fit in with my latest project!
£270? for a 1212L? Wow .. Bargain. Did you win?
Looking at the BC user ID and the partial eBay user ID... I'd say yes!

At that price you aren't far off the price of a USA bass. If you can stretch your budget a bit I have a 2009 USA P bass with added pup upgraded to Nordstrand pups AND a Badass III (inc' case and candy/tools etc.) admittedly maybe £200 more than the bass you are looking at but that 'certainly' won't lose its value!
I've just put a Sterling Version of your Buttercream Stingray up on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=110535729427 It's a lovely instrument but it was just never being played (seeing as I'm not actually a bass player). Adam
Thanks for the offer Adam but I sold my Ray version of this locally for a large wedge less than you have yours up for; that leaves me well short of making your BIN price.

I saw the band's ad and your response elsewhere and this does appear a pretty cack handed way to manage a band! Wouldn't care but I thought the band's music sounded canny.

Peavey B-Quad 4 Brian Bromberg Signature Bass Guitar
warwickhunt replied to bassbuddy's topic in Basses For Sale
Anyone interested in buying a nearly mint Peavey B-Quad 4 Brian Bromberg Signature bass? This is an extremely versatile bass guitar, suitable for several playing styles.
Forum rules say that you need to state a price; pics and a full description will 'massively' speed up the process for you! -
Admittedly it is another SD but I have one of these available... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry839930 If you just want to experiment then there can't be much cheaper ways than buying used pups as you are unlikely to lose a great deal of value if you decide to resell.

DAMN! I knew I should have gone with my first thoughts (hence the illogical numbering of my choices); now that I've seen/heard the other thread I go back to my original choice that in fact #2 is the DeArmond!
Best way to settle what should stay and what should go. Here you have 3 sound samples the basses are Overwater Evolution 5 strung with flats tuned ADGCF, 35 inch scale. Dearmond Starfire with Darkstar pickups with 50-110 flats tuned DGCF, 30 inch scale, hollowbody. Hofner 185/E2 with 50-110 flats tuned DGCF, 30 inch scale. So the questions to answer are 1. Which is which. 2. Which sounds the most vintage. 3. Which sounds the best. You answers will influence what I sell. Thanks
I'll stick my neck out... #3 Overwater #1 Starfire #2 Hofner They all sound as vintage(ish) as each other. I personally prefer #1 I have to confess I changed my mid over #1 and #2 at least once! Saying all of that I could stick flats on one of my basses and get it to sound slightly different depending on where I plucked and my technique; so I hope this isn't all one bass and it's a con.
