1. This has spent more time sat in the original presentation wooden box than it has being used. Sorry no instructions but you don't need them... honest! £35
 2.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...T#ht_500wt_1182 looks in great nick for the money
Ah but the glory of eBay is that the price is intended to go up and it'll then NOT be so attractive!
 3. Everything that you need to get yourself going! 20th Anniversary Squier Strat Almost pristine condition for an 8yr old guitar and recently restrung so fresh and ready to go. Made in China; I know that the Chinese Squier basses are stonking quality and I have to say this has the same feel of quality. It looks like the body is Alder (don't think it's Ash and too much grain for Basswood) with a nice Rosewood fingerboard neck, I also have the trem bar. The guitar is well set-up and the frets are clean and polished. The neck plate is engraved with the 20th Anniversary legend. Marshall G215R CD Guitar combo with 2x8" speakers and 2x15w output. Features a stereo chorus facility and reverb. Also has a CD input to allow you to play along to CD’s. Only ever used in the house by my mate's son, makes a cracking practice/home amp and could at a push do smaller gigs. KORG AX1500G Boxed and complete with the original power supply and instructions. The new TONEWORKS AX1500G is packed with 56 different effects and gives you everything from ultra-realistic models of great stomp boxes, amps and speaker cabinets to essential effects like chorus, reverb, delay, pitch shift and more. Features: · 48 preset and 48 user multi-effects programs with up to 8 effects at once. · Two selectable channels per program, just like a channel-switching amp. · Expression pedal for real time effects control. · Super easy to use. Create the sounds you want by turning a few knobs. · Illuminated display for excellent visibility—even on stage. · Phrase Trainer makes it easy to learn riffs by ear. · Sample & Play function lets you record a phrase and loop or reverse it. · Road-rugged metal body and parts. · Korg auto-chromatic tuner and metronome built in. · KORG’s proprietary REMS technology creates the most amazingly realistic digital models of popular effects, amps and speaker cabinets. £175 for the lot
 4. As it happens I was going to bid but had to go out... and my wife's down in Leicester today!
 5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT So did anyone on here living near Leicester bag a Databass combo for £77?
 6.
Apart from the Typo in the price of the Rh450 (£11099 ) the Bundled 2x RS410, RH450/pedal seems way too cheap might be worth a punt for someone.
It does seem daft that you can get the amp and a PAIR of 4x10's cheaper than the amp and any two other cabs. Methinks when you enquire it'll be a single 4x10, another typo from BD... unless they agree to honour the deal!
 7.
Hey WH, didn't you own that PJ (and sell it) once before? I remember there was a debate about the 70s positioning of the J p/u. Nice looking bass
Tis true and I got offered it back and collected it just yesterday! I've been looking for a P bass to fit in with a project and as I was potentially going to go to the expense of a used RW P bass (is that an oxymoron) I thought that getting this back made more sense... till a cheaper, lighter option came along today! I make no apologies for succumbing to GAS as I don't have 'many' other vices. I should add that this USA just tips the scales at 9lb so it's hardly an anchor but a CV makes more sense as I can take it into work and not worry about the kids giving it some character dings.
 8.
Precisions are fantastic... when they have a proper place to rest your right thumb!
... and to prove what a complete t1t I am, today I go and buy a Squier CV P that doesn't have somewhere proper to rest my thumb; looks like I'll be modding my latest acquisition and selling the USA!
 9.
SOLD to Warwickhunt pending payment.
I've been after a cheap, light weight but quality bass for a while... now I just need to sell the USA P (J) bass that I bought yesterday!
 10.
I'm confused. The adverts for Active Rockbass Corvettes say that they have active MEC J/J pickups. (or at least some of the adverts do in case there are different versions). Are these actually just passive pickups matched to active EQ?
I have to say you look spot on with this one. I'm not an officianado on Rockbasses as they are off the bottom of my radar (hope that doesn't sound snobbish, just a statement of fact); however, a quick search on-line does seem to show that at least some of the Rockbasses do have active MEC pups and an active EQ/preamp. I'd be frankly stunned if a Rockbass had the full on active MECs that appear in the top of the range NT basses made in Germany, if that were the case then there'd be very little point in EVER buying the electronics from Warwick direct... you may as well buy a Rockbass, rip the guts from it and sell the skeleton! Hmmmm time for some research methinks!
 11.
I've not seen people using MEC electronics as upgrades before. Not that I claim that means much, I haven't looked that hard. I wonder if someone has cannibalised a Rockbass.
A Rockbass wouldn't have active MECs. As to whether it 'is' an upgrade... Yes! You'll not see MECs on anything other than Warwicks as MEC were bought out many moons ago by Warwick owner Hans Peter Wilfer. Pure conjecture on my part but allegedly (covering my backside ) when Warwick were made to pay full whack for their EMG pups (couldn't possibly comment on if this had anything to do with a certain Warwick / Spector dispute over licensing for the Streamer), Warwick started producing a fine 'representation' of an EMG pup in house - MEC. I've owned basses with MEC and EMG and I'd be hard pushed to tell the difference in a blind test. To buy an MEC pup direct from Warwick will set you back as much, if not more than ANY Seymour Duncan, EMG etc. In fact 129 Euro (per pup), the cheapest 3 way active MEC circuit is 289 euro! HOWEVER, I am assuming it is an active preamp as those pups do look like the genuine MEC active pups and not the passive dynamic correction jobbies. The caveat being that the bridge appears to be off a much cheaper Warwick than I would imagine the electronics appear to have come off.
 12. Precisions are fantastic... when they have a proper place to rest your right thumb!
 13. Well he's gradually coming down... £1100
 14. I've seen that listing before... or at least all of that info and pics etc, possibly on another forum or such! I'll offer him £500 for you.
 15.
These have the best necks, let me buy it!
I believe there's a queue behind Pete!
 16.
are these fender bits? or some other brand?
Dunno about the rest but that headstock is a Sadowsky with bits glued on!
 17.
Going to have some trouble playing All Right Now as the bass intro to the guitar solo can't work with the 19th fret missing.
For that reason and that reason only I shall buy this bass!
 18.
This one has been done a few times before...
Just a few times.
 19. It's the law of diminishing returns! Once you get passed a certain point, what you spend then makes less 'real-life' sense. I gig with my Thunderfunk and a pair of Aggie DB112s (cabs used value £550ish) and rehearse with the TF and a tatty Black Widow equipped Peavey 1x15 PA cab (cab used value £30ish). However, would I swap my Thunderfunk/Aggies for a cheapie amp and the 1x15 PA cab... No!
 20.
You haven't seen me since I grew my Afro and started wearing silver sparkly leggings, have you?
So that was 'you' at Howie's last gig!
 21. Obviously the Jazz 'neck' pup has been enlarged and if done properly shouldn't require a surround and as the 'bridge' pup has been routed in specifically then that should have been neat enough not to require a surround... what hideous routs are under those pup surrounds then?
 22.
Another look at the fretted Jazz w/flats, different pickup balances and a demonstration of the total lack of buzz or hum...
Watch it young fella me lad there was a bit of Disco/Funk in that there demo... get back to them thar C&W licks!
 23.
These Duncan actives are a bit different to others because they carry on working when the battery is flat. I suspect that the active circuitry is bypassed when the supply voltage drops below a certain level. The sound you get in passive mode is relatively weak and a bit thin, not unlike what you have described, although useable in an emergency. I wonder if you have nine volts going to each pickup to power their inbuilt amps. I tried to use them in a bass with its own active circuitry and it wasn't very successful. I think they need to be wired up to passive controls, which gives you the benefit of a buffered output to your amp but not the benefit of active tone controls, as the dip switches mounted on the pickups don't do a great deal.
Ah! Now that does make some sense Stevie. However, you can get PJ pairs that are intended to be used in a bass together and I assume that they are driven by a single 9v battery? Time to send SD a friendly email I think.
 24. On reflection/research I'll reduce these to £45 per pup or £80 the pair!
 25. That's a very sensible assumption and one that I'd have made. I'd just ensure that any cab you connect is 8ohms and you'd be OK.
