1.
Good call, it must be a magical thing to see a Boss tuner die after all those years. It needs to go in a box and be kept
Well I haven't thrown it away yet.
2.
Shot himself in the foot saying 'squire' in listing
Now if he'd said 'Squier' he'd really be up the creek!
3.
sh*t.. I like MM's well enough, but there is only one look that would make me want to buy. And this one is it. That's the *perfect* Music man for my taste mate! Lovely! Good luck with the trade...
Would you believe it of the guy who had a house full of Warwicks... I've essentially got two left and a fretless Streamer for sale!
4.
It's a great tuner and a very clever bit of kit but it is going to take something incredible to stop me from using a TU-2
My Boss tuner dying after 20+ years is what prompted me!
5. Just done a couple of deals with 'the Groom' and all things were good... VERY tolerant fiancée considering he swung by my place after visiting his best man one evening! Cheers Alex and have a long and happy marriage.
6. Well mine should be with me tomorrow!
7. Cheers WD, I actually contacted that guy prior to pulling the trigger on the Ray! I asked him about his shipping charges and could they be reappraised... and he managed to get the shipping down to $450.
8. Not mine or anything to do with me but I saw this on the GG website (Newcastle) and thought that it 'might' be of interest to someone looking for a USA Jazz 5 string... however I've no idea if £750 is a good/bad price for such a bass so here it is anyway! 9.
Spotted the error - he describes it in the text as a "base" Damn, I'm good
and that case is non-standard Ric!
10. Has anyone seen the Sterling version of this for sale anywhere?
11. I've owned a couple of valve amps and other than the early (70's) unreliability, I personally thought my Mesa Boogie valve amp could have cut glass! There's a lot to be said for valve amps but personally I'm just as happy with a modern SS amp.
12. Been there and don't pop it. Has Sarah enough experience/technique to use a pick? If so, go for that route.
13.
Good analogy of 'Varooom' Steve Love a bit of varooom myself. Seem to remember John Taylor also being an exponent of this technique back in the day. Not enough varooom in today's music, definitely due a comeback.
NAH! JT was more of a Vrooom-room player.
14.
Would you include the kettle ? might clinch the sale...........
Yes but the water is extra!
15. Well that is an odd one... especially as I've personally owned a bass that was formerly owned by the bassist of Helloween and that was a right hander!
16. There are 2 spacings available on Wicks and I couldn't be sure so I posed the Q on the Wick forum for you... 16.5mm is standard but you can specify special order 20mm broadspacing but they are not very common!
17. HH/Fane all names that we older guys grew up with and in their day they were what we used and were quite happy to do so but tbh I'd not want to rely on one for gigging with my current band BUT if they work fine wtf just use them... ensuring you have a back-up! Sorry but again I can't help you with specs but they won't be high ratings; speakers could be 50-100w but that's a guesstimate.
18. I really like that idea of changing the layer under the clear plate to suit mood etc. Nice one!
19. Mark certainly seemed to like sliding into the intros! Just flicked through 5 or 6 youtube clips and he seemed to start each with a nice 'varooom'.
20.
I'm going to check with the Mrs about this as a 2month early bday present!
No worries, I'm not desperate to part with it.
21. Excellent condition with a short lead on the back that terminates in a female connector to accept a standard IEC power cable... that's a normal kettle lead thingy for the non-technical types (obviously I'm not that tight so I will supply one ). Excellent nick and no issues at all. Front or rear connection with the ability to mute for silent tuning or like me just leave it running in the background all the time. £50 inc postage
22. So... Quote; "Hello I am selling a Mesa Boogie M2000 Bass Amplifier on behalf of a friend." Quote; "Reason for selling is we are clearing store room out for space." - So which is it to be? "it needs 4 new switches and 6 new pots, the technician which we took the amp to estimated the repair with genuine Mesa parts at £120"... so I wonder if that includes the change of power supply from 120v to 240v, "The amp is from the US so it uses US power supplies not UK, if used it will break the unit." Now this might turn out to be a bit of a bargain but I'm not sure I'd put much faith in the (zero rated) seller! 23.
Im going to gig one on its own in June when the gigs start and see how it holds up. The LM3 was only on just under 1/3 master at 8ohms.
Remind me again why you own THREE TC cabs?
24.
Got a blown C/D in one of my DB112NT cabs.... I thought they might have a safety fuse/Bulb type affair on the crossover but it appears not. Anyone had to replace a Diaphragm here on one of these particular cabs, if so where did you buy the Diaphragm from and rough price?
I hate to state the obvious and don't shoot me down but... the NT doesn't have a tweeter/horn!
