1. Lush colour ...trying to decide if I'd prefer it to my sunburst! :/
2. Loving the Foos... entertainment. Oh and not shabby song writers, musicians and a 'team'.
3.
Sound is interesting, very middy with quite a tonal sweep across the strings owing to the mirrored P config.
I've found myself dialling this to the neck 80-100%, can't think of the last time it was anywhere near centre detent and I've never used it favouring the bridge pup.
4.
You know we gig up there an awful lot, we're at the Willow Tree on July 1 if you wanna pop in and say 'hi'. And let me profile your Thunderfunk on the Kemper.
Unfortunately gigging at a private party that night. I'll see if we can meet up sometime; typical that I've been gigging twice a week every week for months and I've presently only one gig this month (17th @ Blackhall Navy Club... wherever that is)!
5.
Just how 'north of the Tyne' are you? I'd love to have a go on a Thunderfunk.............
Blyth!
6. I have #8! I'd be interested to hear your views after you've gigged it.
7. You aren't heading anywhere near the North East anytime soon?
8. Parcelforce = no insurance if damaged... my fingers are tightly crossed for you sir! :/
9. I have one of these in my gig case as an emergency bass preamp (DI to PA if needed) but it works great with my electro-acoustic bass!
10.
I missed out on a beauty of a Zon bass in the BC classifieds, listed & sold within 2 hours....
You and me both!
11. Ah... the HPW email response! Lovely looking bass and a keen price so it'll get snapped up in no time,
12. Lovely top/colour finish and I'm sure this'll get snapped up in no time but what makes you call it a 'Custom Shop'?
13. Used Transferwise (was sceptical at first) and it was as easy as a bank transfer but way cheaper than bank charges.
14. I've never found that function to work... irritating but if you didn't have the option you'd not be any the wiser!
15. Does it have the original Sadowsky case and do you have an accurate weight?
16. Mackie SRM350's for £350 or less.
17. 1982 Talas - Sink your teeth into that... my jaw dropped when I heard it. However, I can appreciate how some folks find his tone a bit grating; saying that when you hear it (and his legendary licks/tricks) you know it is him - signature tone!
18.
Thanks Warwickhunt - any other opinions on this? Will it give me much more volume?
Sorry just seen this. Much more 'actual' volume... no but it will 'seem' a lot louder and the cab being elevated will help you hear it better, magnifying the 'loudness' effect.
19. Where are you and do you have an accurate weight?
20. These do indeed have an Ash body.
21. Errrrm... It may be a small matter but when is original 'original'? Original Fretless Fender P Bass from 1974 Maple Neck - Original Finish and Machine heads Lake Placid Blue body Refin by JKG London Original P Bass pickup and coil winding - 1974 Volume and Tone Pots - New 0,05 Tone Cap - Old after market Bridge & Pick guard
