  1. Hey guys, has anyone here managed to get hold of one of these (DSM Drivemaker) pedals in the UK? I'll order from US if that's my only option. The pound is so weak that it's gonna be expensive whatever route I take. Sigh...
  2. I use the iKlip not too expensive but does the job. (Also not the cheapest)
  3. Yeah. I can do that. PM incoming

  5. Neo by the looks. I'll take it if you want rid. Any chance of a meet halfway to reduce my travel time? Didn't I buy the "Shaggster" off you? I'll post pics of it after I had it back to Jon. He even reshaped do the slab body before respray.
  6. hey bud. I can't find the spec for this cab on the Schro website. Are the speakers Neo? If they are, I'll meet you halfway between Sheff and Wigan to do the deal. I'm brave enough.
  7. Alzamatt: I own a DB680 and a Thunderfunk. 2 Thunderfunks actually, both the 550 and 750. The 680 is the finest pre bar none (in my experience). Close second is the Warwick Hellborg pre. I actually use the TF800 (the better sounding of the TFs) live. They sound great and are a little more practical as a combo pre/power.

  9. Envelope Filter? The Three leaf audio, Groove Regulator is switchable between up and down. There's examples of it on bass on YouTube. I dunno if that helps.
  10. This configuration makes the cab smaller. Doesn't help anyone hear any more than the forward firing drivers. Because bass is less directional it survives the angle better than other wavelengths. I have 5 Schroeder cabs and rate them highly. In fact the 410L isn't one I own, so I'm VERY tempted to make an offer on this one! Get in touch via PM if your other deals don't pan out buddy!
  11. On the subject of packing... I'm not sure the packing was quite satisfactory TBH. It *was* wrapped in a single sheet of 'big bubble' wrap. However the rest of the box was filled with just loosely rolled brown paper. Clearly it wasn't enough to prevent damage of the kind it sustained. However, in Wounded Paws defence, it looked like a really hard impact. I'm not sure any reasonable amount of packing would have saved the day. Only a completely over the top case with polystyrene corners and lots of bubble wrap would have slowed the impact to a level where the insides weren't torn by their own weight and impetus... Still, onwards and upwards! 😎
  12. Thanks for the sympathies guys. I'll see how it turns out. I'll claim back whatever I can from wherever I can... And thanks for the link to the customs claim. I'll give that a go.
  13. Well... This is how it's gone.. amp arrived early this week after delays in customs, and Parcelfarce didn't send me the slip to say they'd got it. I had to phone around and find the depot which had it, pay them the customs charge and wait for them to deliver it. And when I unpacked it... f***ed! As soon as I unpacked it, I knew. I could hear some loose bits inside the case rattling around. Inspecting the case I found a shiny corner, indicative of an impact. One of the 'handles was damaged and bent inwards a few degrees too. Opened the bottom of the case... Found a loose IC chip, and a piece of plastic which would have been a circuit board mounting clip. And the circuit board was thusly not attached to the case... Disappointed. So the result is that I've had to send it back. The shipping back to Canada has cost me another £66 now. Plus a £30 customs charge, and at the moment, I have no amp. Preston, the guy at wounded Paw has agreed to pay for the return shipping, but I haven't heard back from him about how he intends to do this yet... And no doubt, when it's replacement arrives I will get hit for customs AGAIN! Until I get my working amp, I suggest you hold off on purchases. This is going to be a test of Wounded Paws customer service, I think.
  14. Hmmmmm according to the tracking info it's been n customs since 17th... And it's still there ATM... So it's not arrived yet. Customs are a disgrace....
  15. Insane... Lol And Steve, don't call me Shirley. 😜
  16. I decided to take a punt and add a Wounded Paw amp to my gas driven hoard... Anyone out there got one ? Got anything to say about it ? I actually wanted the stand alone Pre Amp, but it's oop and to have one custom made was only a bit cheaper than the Pre / power combi amp. I can't be the first, surely...?
  17. There may be cheaper options, but the big head is good. Very good.
  18. The usb cable on mine became very wobbly. However for me a replacement cable cured it. Sorry to hear of your woes...
