  1. Thats a 'Jizz-Jazz'... So preety... Does the finish go under the plate? - Shame to hide a third of it... custom clear or smoked guard?... nice with the mable block neck... is it good for 'petal'
  2. got me thinking... frampton, big jobi, black keys... bass on a voice box?
  3. not bad... half way there... i'll get my coat...
  4. whats the switch (slot in the switch n knob plate) gonna switch? No plate... maybe rear route for V n T?
  5. See Fastway at Hammersmith Odeon when they released the first album... Takes me back, good 'n simple times...
  6. who put the bloody strings on? send it back and tell em to do it proper.... 😉 Nice...
  7. See em at the Beaverwood Club... local Rugby Club, https://www.feenstra.co.uk/ puts gigs on there and at Sutton Footbal Club... Took my eldest... Good Gig, Twin Neck, Theremin, Funky Dragon trews, the works...
  8. On the Master Tone... not a lot as you are only using 2 of the connections... As shown you are feeding one end of the track and reducing the amount of resistance to zero / ground with the wiper... If connected as you describe, you are simply feeding the wiper... (and If you fed the other end - free terminal the tone effect would work the other way as you turn...) Import wiring is at the Vol, all terminals are used... one in, one out (the wiper) and one ground... so the wiper out is the difference between top and bottom... swap top n bottom and ya Vol will work backwards - or forwards for a left handed bass!... Tone is an 'amount of resistance' between 2 connections - Vol is the 'difference in resistance' between one end to the other - 3 connections... Anyone got a P schematic diag rather than a wiring position diag?
  9. Similar meltdown when my Sons Star Wars Lego Set failed to arrive when expected... 'Kin annoying... and i feel your pain... IT SAID (expected...) BEFORE 9!- Bastards!
  10. 2 each side... one on the end (two on the end for a six, but then thats a guitar not a bass) straight down the middle... so they all line up with a straight string run over the nut... I'm an engineer so i am right... who said you need five strings anyhows? ya only got 4 fingers, if ya got more, p!ay the Banjo... and the thumb is to stop ya hand falling of the end of the neck in the dark...
  11. but unlikely to get the 'forgot mine, can i borrow ya bass?' ;-)
  12. tort plate on anything other than a Jazz... dodgy headstock shapes like a plain fretboard and like the no scratchplate look...
  13. I got some dunlop stainless 50/70/85/105 to replac the Ibanez original 45/65/85/105... the wrap is a lot thinner than that of the Rotosounds RB45 and what ever ibanez fit as std - feel way smoother... not sure if this is a stainless thing, but more likely a dunlop thing... A lot of string sets now come sealed, so hard to see or check, maybe can look at an 'individual' string in store, or take a punt on dunlop?
  14. Nice.. could maybe do with some observation notes... Got some Dunlop Stainless Steel Strings, I notice the outer windings are a fair bit thinner than say the Rotosound Nickels on a 105 E. The thinner windings of the dunlops feel a lot smoother to play... How do the windings of the Ernie Balls compare? Would you know if this is a Dunlop v Rotosound thing? or a Stainless v Nickel thing? Thanks...
  15. Fun... recognise the IKEA puppets...
  16. Nice, but... Why a tort guard... single ply plain black needed... failing that bwb or wbw...
  17. Pickguard in the same material as the markers?
  18. Anyone on BC? https://www.guitarworld.com/amp/features/meet-the-owner-of-the-worlds-biggest-12-string-bass-collection LOTS of strings...
  19. this thread got me picking out a bit from my whitesnake box set... some nice burpin' on the Child of Babylon... But Walkin in the shadow of the blues is a fav...
