  1. Paul, I'll go for the EHX Headphone amp for £10 if i may?... Edit: PM & Paid... Edit: Arrived todsy Mon 12th... Well packaged, In Good but Used Condition as described, All -Good! - Great 'lil gadget.
  2. Marshall... needed a replacement for a cracked knob (stop sniggering...) for my eBay MB15 combo... old and odd stuff not listed on their web site.... sent em an email enquiry as no phones and closed early lockdown... a couple turned up in the post a couple of weeks later.. Fine!
  3. not sure what the 4 way does in pu config but that should be quite a std... EDIT: Found it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson_EB-3 Push pull pots, to tap the humbuckers to single coil? You could go stacked pots for VT for each pickup... 2 pots in one hole...
  4. RGB300 is wider at the nut, like the GSR200 - than the SR... Couple of mm but noticeable... P v Jazz Anyone?
  5. Also thoughts about holding a metal plectrum in his mouth a lot of the time... https://www.cancerhealth.com/article/experts-refute-eddie-van-halens-claim-guitar-pick-caused-throat-cancer Eruption and MJ's Beat It...😃😎
  6. Nice SR600 😉 How about fret board oil, or clear danish oil applied with a cotton bud... Maybe enough to seal n colour. What strings are those? They look a bit ground... Rotosound Solobass?
  7. Catch... Stick - not slide when tuning
  8. String slots arn't straight, and the nut looks a little wide... Hope they didn't charge you!
  9. I'd say the SR300... The RGB300 looks more comparable to a GSR200 in spec... Bridge, Pickups, etc. I likes the SR shape... got a GSR200B and a SR600... the RGB is a bit 'young' for me now at 50+ Whats the £€$ difference? Your previous post mentions metal... so the RGB wins on the style stakes...
  10. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/sr500e_1p_01.html strings D'Addario® EXL165 string gauge .045/.065/.085/.105
  11. Dont sound like a huge amout off? - 9 is alot more than 5... almost double... Whats ya real budget? looks like bigger savings, in percentage terms to be had on the likes of a SH SR500, SR600, SR650...
  12. Black Uhuru... loves the liquid ooze of Sly 'n Robbie, where's my RIPS?
  13. Stuck the Yesstory Compilation on my mp3 player a while back when a Yes post prompted me. It had been i while since i listened to it, and i found it quite hard work. I'll give it another try this wet n windy afternoon... Zappa anyone?
  14. Real nice, I like real natural, a rear route gives ya more of the wood, and the clear plate gives a modern take but keeps the classic and expected lines and shapes, (A bit like those eyeing for the clear plate on the black paisley P.) without appearing too modern, and like something is missing or forgotton... i may of gone for a more modern and smoother looking bridge - more to reflect eveloution... Real nice...
  15. The BBOT type bridges are simple function. And at least, even with the cheapest of basses, have a barrel saddle. compared with BBOT saddles of say an early strat, or shared saddle of a tele.
  16. I want the Marshall Superbass amp and Cab for the B1 Four. Was on the B1 On... but anoyingly, wasnt carried over... Should of done a bit more reading up... Dont think they are compatable... Hopefully Zoom will sort this and make a Marshall Amp and Cab sim available for download via the Guitar Lab software...
  17. Q. Why do you want to know? Replacing with the same?
  18. Got a couple of shelving racks down one side, and a couple of kitchen cabinets with worktop as a bench. Mats just run under the shelves a bit, cut round the feet.. so not set the shelves on em... For a tenner get a pack and see, if not doing the whole floor great for an under foot anti fatigue section...
  19. Did the garage floor with Halfords floor tiles... works out quite cheap, any damage, just replace the tile... Not great, mark up a bit with the wait of a motorbike etc.
  20. Chamfer on the ball end? Could be D'Addaria OE on Ibbys... 45 65 85 105 is Std sccording to the Manual that comes with the bass and on there website as a pdf. EDIT: I might be wrong on the D'Addaria, but maybe whatever is Ibanez OE
  21. a 'MAD ACID DIP' swirly pink yellow green dip method multi colour paint job...
  22. Reading the above and the Build diaries... A kit is a kit... Making the neck from scratch is hard... Howzabout finding a neck ya likes, then build from their? Own Body Shape n Wood, neck pocket for your neck... pickups P, J, 'Buckers, one of each? Passive or Pre, Switch selection of the Enterpise, or simple VT, Lin/Log, No Load Tone? Knobs, Tuners and Bridge style of your choice... And a greater sense of achievment designing and making, seeing it come to life, than following the distructions on a kit of pre selected parts... Then the finish... natural stain paint or relic... 'expect to see it in the build diaries - enjoy!
