  1. Assault & Battery - Hawkwind (Do i get a bonus point for combining the last 2?..)
  2. Have a look in the FS... Pickups? Noisy? - Shield Paint Kit for a tenner... remember that Jazz Pups do hum a bit unless both on full. If ya wana change the tone try the FS section and make an offer on some older posts? Kiogon Loom VVT or VBT or Switching.. £30ish well spent and sometimes appear in the FS... What are the machine heads like? - Try a dab of vaseline on the worm drives and giving em a good turn can smooth em out...(and some pencil lead rubbed in the nut slot) before resigning the current tuners as no good! Bridge? - Maybe cosmetic... maybe more sustain? Gotoh or Badass to replace the BBOT... Scratchplate? - Just dont waste money on Tort?
  3. Honestly... check the effects n amp list... Pedal is handy for Vol... make sure you wont be missing something.. As mentioned i'm on the B1on for the Marshall SIM... and prefer the shape. You will need an older style USB lead for connecting to the Tonelib... Both are headphone amps with drum patterns... It also depends on whats about?... The add says £40 or offers, £40 posted? for a lot of fun!
  4. Have a ganders on the Zoom Site... The X has the pedal. Different Amp Sims, I had a 4 and sold it for the earlier On for the Marshall Super Bass amp sim not on the 4. The 4 has a better user interface with the 4x knobs to adjust settings, rather than scrolling thru and 1 knob on the on... If you are a 'Set and Forget' for a lot of the patches might not be an issue On works only with the Tonelib software as another way for set up... 4 works with Tonelib and Zoom's GuitarLab. Download and check the manual and effects lists... see whats got what ya want and will the 4's interface help you use it more in the way you need? The X pedal can be handy for Vol and Wah... can be used on other paramaters, but not ALL as thec4 manual sort of aludes too, Home or Gig?
  5. I likes an SR... Real Nice, Back of that neck looks luverly!
  6. Couple of threads on here about inexpensive flats... Adagio or Olympia... i think they are the same strings in different boxes are great for the price. Got Adagio's on an electric and an acoustic bass... and just got some Olympia flats for Christmas for a 6 String Guitar, My P Bitsa and My J Bitsa... The nut is a little low on the J bitsa, and buzzes a little on the A and D with regular 45-100 Rounds, The slightly higher tension of the 45-100 Flats look to of cured the issue.
  7. Thats my plan with my Epi LP Marshall MB30 Bass Amp using the 'Classic Channel'... or the Zoom B1on with the Marshall Superbass SIM and a hint of Tape Echo.
  8. So couple of weeks back i got this £42 bargain of an Epiphone LP Special GT II, came with padded Epi gigbag... Wasn't allowed if before today. Usuall clean up operation, then block of wood in the trem cavity and strung it with a set of £8 Olympia 10-48 SS Flatwounds... £50! 'n Smooooooooth!
  9. Wire brush 'n Detol.... Isoprop Alcohol or Lighter Fluid, 0000 Wire Wool, Duraglit Autosol and and a dremel mop, Jim D Lemon Oil, Dab of Warwick Guitar Wax or furniture bees type wax... takes care of the fretboard n frets... Castrol Motorcycle Polish or Mr Sheen for painted bodies... what i got to hand... Dab of Warwick Guitar Wax or furniture bees type wax on oil finished bodies... Autosol on metal work, then Vaseline or Sewing Machine / Clipper oil on machine head and bridge threads... Micro fiber cloths 'n cotton buds... and a tin of that spray air duster....

  15. Pic Please?
  16. Pick to KEEP or Pick to SELL? Keep the Aero...
  17. Lookout for a second hand Pre on here... I'd stay passive and just upgrade the pickups, again secondhand on here... Anything wrong with the bridge 'n tuners a clean n lube with a dab of vaseline on the threads 'n worms wont fix? As for a refin n reshape... lot of money if not doing it yourself... for no real gain... But hey...

  19. From The Inside - Alice Cooper... Bass by Dee Murray from Elton John's band at the time... with the odd bit on snap 'n slap... which i'm not usually a fan off
  20. Any glue resudue may stop any further stain or oiling coverinf priperly, and might highlight the area even more, or requier even more sanding and staining...Maybe go with what ya got?...
  21. Order some from Spalding Fastners of the bay... A2 stainless so the new ones dont rust...Hex Head Grub Screws 3mm me thinks...go for Dog Point... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOG-POINT-A2-STAINLESS-STEEL-METRIC-SOCKET-ALLEN-GRUB-SCREWS-M3-M4-M5-M6-/293221192240?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Intonation screw may be 4mm... or do they fit all the holes only a couple of quid delivered... ive had 3 lots from them to replace saddle screws in cheapy bridges.
