As mentioned... Luthiers Warehouse... Have a look on ebay.. and faceache see if their is anything ya like, or as a basis for a custom job... would also recommend you filter ebay for compleated, then you can see the stuff they have sold and re-order or mod. Contact em direct on [email protected] for 10% off bay prices. Ricky Mark and Marc are real helpful Mention Basschat and my bodies if ya like... Check out Lamaq Guitars their 'sister'company. I have no affiliation with LW, just purchased from them.

Nice looking bit of wood... On one hand ya paying for bits ya gonna replace... on the other the £200 is about what my Budget P Bitsa and Budget J Bitsa cost... £60 for a custom body, £50 neck, £10 cheap machines, £30 secondhand quality pups, £30 Kiogen loom. But i had custom bodies made, rear rout and novel. You could build a bitsa with a better / more expensive boby £150, Licensed Neck, £150, Quality Machine heads £80, Quality Bridge £60 Pricy Puos £100... What ya want... in expensive fun and games build expereance £200 go for it!... You may need another £50 - £100 to get the best out of it, fret level, dress n set up, or have a go yourself. £150 - £200 end result? Harley Benton S/S Ibby SR500 or Squier... Or a Quality £500 Bitsa. If ya got a spate £200 and some hobby time, do it. After my 2 bitsa's i have commissioned a custom build of a certain style bass from a seller on Ali Express... can't usually get the just thru neck and body to start with. They have been getting good reviews, particukarly for the standard of finish. Might need a fret job n set up... My custom design, madd finished and shipped... £250ish!

Nice SR600... Swirly, mine has a bit straighter and plainer grain.

Nice in natutal. I'm a Thumbs on Top and recon you should of got a custom 'Finger' Decal made... As you say, looks caredfore and used rarther than unloved and abused.

I still love a noodle on my Harley B HBO850... Lovely warm tones with a set of cheap Adagio/Olympic Flats, rather than squeakin' about on Phospher Bronze... But 34", Shorter Scale 32" may be limiting on string choice... Enjoy.

Interesting... Some Apps are designed to show how good ya headphones etc are, others how good ya hearing is... cant always check one without the other. Sometime back when i got the Sennies HD206, things were sounding different, more soundstaged over my Sony ZX310, which are a great Folding Flat Headphone for taking out and partnering with my main Music device, a little Sony Thumb Drive MP3 Player. After some checks i thought the Semnhiesers were faulty, or a copy. There arrival coincided with a big drop in freq response in my left ear. Been to Docs and had a hearing test, been refered to ENT, had my Feb appt postponed, now due in March... Perhaps lots of loud music in my youth, or wind roar from motorcycles, i now wear ear plugs and have mild-ish tinnitus and hearing a low freq 'boomers' that used to be thought caused by gas pipe propergation. I wear ear plugs to sleep, that kind of reduces tge Sea Shell effect. Fingers crossed a remedy can bd found at the ENT appt. I'm 53.

Just joined Rickenfakers... Lets just say I've been looking on AliExpress and asked about a Custom Build of something Plain with a Rear Route, as ever... and now have a 6 week wait. As youngsters say 'Fake It 'till ya Make It' (and can then afford a real one!).

Do you mean you cant pull the plate further out as the contacts are getting caught on the body hole? Should be simple for those that know... But understand trepidation for those that don't... Where ya located? I'm sure there will be a Bass Chatter local to '...ploddy forward into the deep fundemold of the complicading forry to sort this one out matey...' (Small Faces, Ogdens, Unwin... but we all know that right?..)

Depends, but Yep, love the lines and flow of certain basses... but no so much others. Likes a Simple P, J, Ibby SR, Ricky 4000's Love the look of my Harley B MBO850 Acoustic Bass... Not so much the new fangled Wal, Warwick Thumb or Yam TRBX type things, they just look 'wrong' and make my teeth itch. Same with Cars 'n Bikes. I'm very much a 'Form Follows Function' design wise, but the odd flourish is nice Got 'told off' some years back saying "Thats Georgeous!" when seeing a Benneli Tre in a bike shop...
