  1. True, maybe the Hulk is in the market for a stack😁 A couple of replacement wheels would probably be easy to sort though.
  2. Browsing reverb and saw this earlier - might be good for someone in London. £100 for an 8x10 is a steal. Reverb listing
  3. I'm confused just looking at the bottom one, it's like something from the Millennium Falcon! Do you even bass 🤣
  4. Hi @alexjbassist is this still available please?
  5. Thanks Brian, all paid and have PM’d you with my address thank you ☺️
  6. Can I take the 38R grey pair please 😊
  7. Did you get any further with this build @JPJ?
  8. Very interesting thanks for posting. There's no doubting the quality of these instruments, and while they're not really my cup of tea sound wise you can't help but admire the passion and craft that goes into Alembic basses, it's all absolutely top notch.
  9. Reading that (and I’m not sure why I did to be honest 🤣), it seems to me the modus operandi for all this is to test the ceiling people are prepared to pay for his pedals. Substantial price increases inbound. I really don’t get all the furore around pedal culture. Most of it’s snake oil selling and marketing bull.
  10. I’m interested in the board @walshy, will measure up later and check if my pedals will fit as needed.
  11. Not Motown specific but a lot of Stax basslines by Duck Dunn are great fun to play, some of them are easier and more groove orientated than Jamerson style stuff. A few personal favourites I play regularly for practice are… Sitting on the dock of the bay Tramp Born under a bad sign Some of the easier Motown tracks could be… What becomes of the broken hearted Ain't too proud to beg You’ve really got a hold on me Shotgun
  12. If he wants to sell them like that and people are stupid enough to pay over the odds prices then that’s up to them. Just vote with your feet and take your business elsewhere. The amount of money people are shelling out on pedals that are at best slight variations on the same theme is insane. Gotta catch ‘em all indeed…
  13. Bought Andy’s Markbass Compressore. Turned up bang on time, as described and well packaged. Pedal sounds awesome, bit of darkness to the top end but I like that and plenty of grunt when digging in. A great guy to deal with, thanks a lot Andy 😊
  14. Hudson Broadcast? Always seems to have a really nice warm breakup sound
  15. Karl bought a set of LaBella flats and was the perfect gent, great communication and fast payment. Thanks a lot, I hope the self build fretless goes well 😀
  16. Selling these as I prefer the tension and feel of my roundwounds. Cut for a standard Precision length, the silks have frayed in a couple of places but the strings themselves are in great condition. Looking for £25 posted. Thanks for looking, James
  17. The bassline from Moving from the same session is awesome too. Saw Supergrass a few times back in the late 90s/early 00s and they were always brilliant, such a criminally underrated band. I could watch Mick Quinn play for hours, always melodic and groovy, great lines just bubbling away under the songs 🤩
  18. Must ‘resist’ replying to such dad jokes 🤣
  19. No problem, I've just checked and I've got 2.2uf and 22uf but not 220uf anyways 🤣
  20. Hang fire on ordering one, I might have one in my box I can send you. Will go and check in a bit.
  21. You’ve pretty much answered your own question 😊 I’ve done similar and didn’t notice anything different either, well not to my ears or fingers and that was fine with me. Who knows, maybe there’s a 0.1% difference but if it sounds good enough then it’s good enough!
  22. What a superb post, I’ve got the same outlook as you but could not have written it half as good as that.
  23. That’s a great read and funny too, thanks for the heads up.
  24. That’s a lot of knobs 😜 Looks a very nice build well done!
