I bought a used one recently off the forum to fit on my precision and it’s great. I had to lower the relief and the nut slots needed some fettling but the profile is great and the fretwork was fine. I only needed to give the truss rod about a quarter turn but it was smooth and felt reassuringly solid. Hope that helps

Bought a precision neck off Pete, he was a thoroughly nice chap with great communication. The neck was very well packaged, and arrived exactly as described. A top Basschatter ☺️

Bobby bought my Squier Classic Vibe P bass pickup. He was super easy to deal with, great communication and seems like a real gent ☺️

Having a bit of a streamline of my pedalboard and looking to let these beauties find a new home. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI You know the deal, industry standard preamp/DI functionality - this one has 3 switchable channels allowing you to vary your tone/drive as required. A great pedal that's been a key part of my board but no longer required due to my GK 700RB amp. Excellent condition comes with the box. SOLD MXR M85 Bass Distortion A flexible bass distortion based on the famous RAT circuit this one has both the original RAT and Turbo RAT circuits switchable via a push button. Sounds great and in excellent condition apart from a few small chips in the paint. SOLD Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor Really versatile workhorse compressor that gets great reviews on sites like Ovnilabs - https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/vicegrip.shtml. A few battle scars to the paintwork but apart from that it's in great nick. Looking for £110 posted EHX Bass Clone Chorus Bought this last year looking for a Peter Hook kind of sound as it's a modern version of the original EHX Clone Theory. Hardly ever used, comes with the box. SOLD Behringer BDI21 Bass Driver DI Cheap clone of the famous Sansamp Bass Driver DI, does a fantastic job considering the price differences. Looking for £15 posted

Selling this CV 60s Precision neck as I'm having a bit of a clear out and it's just sitting around. Has a 41mm nut - Truss rod and tuners are working fine, it's from a 2021 model I think so has a laurel fingerboard and I've given it a coat of lemon oil. The profile is really nice and playable, having a decent amount of wood in the hand but slim enough to make getting around the neck a breeze. Has very minimal fret wear and I've given them a polish with some 0000 wire wool. Looking for £90 posted for this I upgraded one of my basses with a Gotoh recently and have this hi-mass bridge spare. Standard 5 screw install and this one has 4 holes for string through body as an option. Looking for a tenner posted. I also have 2 sets of pretty much brand new Rotosound RS66LD Swing Bass strings. I fitted these to my basses a couple of weeks ago but just could not get on with the feel/tension so I've gone back to my trusted EB Slinky's. They're both cut for a Precision/Jazz and have seen about an hour max of use on each set. Looking for £25 posted for the pair or £13.50 posted for a set. Any questions please let me know.

Was at Exchange in Bristol last night to see MSSV, the experimental noise rock band with the four string legend that is Mike Watt! They were supported by local band Omega Institute, who played some interesting tunes with a jazzy, ambient feel, improv kind of stuff. MSSV were great. Mike Bagetta's guitar tones were awesome, real gnarly and cutting and drummer Stephen Hodges (who's played a fair bit with Tom Waits) was super tight. Watt was using a crutch whilst watching the support act and sat down for the whole gig which was a shame as I was looking forward to seeing him gurning and bopping away as normal, but more importantly I hope he makes a speedy recovery from whatever's happened. Playing quite understated stuff, he was using a beautiful green Reverend signature into an Aguilar head and a Barefaced cab. His tone was really mid heavy and he was really pushing the input of that amp, a lot of it sounded like a fart and I could see the clipping light flashing away like a strobe 🤣 They played for about and hour and 20 whereby they literally started unplugging kit and packing away within seconds of the last song 😂 Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Have some unused valves knocking around that aren't going to get used. They were purchased a while back as spares for the Fender Tweed Deluxe kit I built. I have tested them this morning in my amp and all are working fine with no noises of any kind. The EHX preamp valves are 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AY7 - one has the original box the other one doesn't for some reason, but both are unused and have been sat in my drawer. The 12AX7 is now sold Looking for £12 posted for the 12AY7 please. The rectifier valves are 2 x NOS Brimar 5Y3GT and 1 x NOS Pinnacle 5Z4GT - The Pinnacle can be used as drop in replacements for a 5Y3GT. I bought all of these as New Old Stock and they come with the original boxes but do have signs of wear on the cardboard. The Brimar valves have a corrugated cardboard and tissue paper protective cover that come with age appropriate smell 😂 Looking for £15 each posted please. Happy to arrange local meet-up with price adjustment if needed.

I'm selling this lovely Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz as my P Bass does everything I need. This is one of the original made in China basses, made in 2012. The quality is fantastic, with a rosewood board, high mass brass saddles and decent tuners it's definitely a step up from the current Made in Indonesia models. The wood grain on the neck is really nice. Truss rod is fine and all hardware is working as normal. It's in great condition apart from one small ding on the forearm - This could be easily repaired/covered with paint if required but I wanted to leave it. Frets are in really good condition, I've given the board a fresh coat of lemon oil and it has a new set of EB Slinky 105-55s on it. 38mm nut width with a lovely slim neck and weighs a comfortable 4.2kg/9lb 5oz. Looking for £300 - These basses are definitely starting to gain a bit of a cult following due to the quality. Any question please ask.

Selling this lovely Ashdown combo I bought off here a few years ago. Has served me well but I've now got my ideal setup of GK 700RB head and Ampeg 610 cab so this one is now free to carry on its journey and find a new owner. It's in great condition for a 25 year old combo - I had it serviced at the end of last year by the legend that is Dave Green at Ashdown. A couple of pots were replaced and a new preamp valve added, but apart from that he gave it a fine bill of health. Plenty of power with 300w going into what I think is an original Sica blue line speaker. Looking for £150ono, probably easier for a local meet-up if possible but also willing to post if the buyer arranges a courier. Any questions please ask!

If it's good enough for Timmy C it's good enough for me ☺️ He also seems like a proper gear head, would fit right in here!

I've literally just put a precision neck on my jazz as I'm really struggling with the toothpick feel of the neck, but I love the sound of single coils and the playing position of a jazz. It's probably a lot more common than you think.

I bought Martin's GK 700RB II which he'd recently repaired with a new power supply board. I've always wanted a GK amp as I love the punch and growl some of my favourite bands get using those amps. Being a good few hours away from me and not wanting to courier the amp he kindly agreed to meet me halfway at one of the M5 services near Worcestershire. All communication was great, Martin was super friendly and we stood talking about all things music/bass for well over 45 mins in the car park. The amp was exactly as described, and even though I'd bought cash with me to pay for it he insisted I took it on and saw how I got on with it before paying for it. What a gent. Needless to say I took it to rehearsal a couple of days later to try it out and duly paid via bank transfer that evening, I was sold within 5 mins of hearing the sweet sounds coming out of it. A top bass chatter to deal with, thanks Martin!

Really enjoyed listening to that, nice one. Great illustration of Mr Smith as well 😊

Bought a Zoom B1 Four from David and everything was super easy from start to finish - The pedal was exactly as described, he had great communication throughout and it was fast postage. A top guy to deal with ☺️

Here's an update now that the pedal is finished, I forgot to post an update so thanks for reminding me guys! 1. The enclosure ended up taking around 4 weeks to arrive but I managed to get hold of another one way before that thanks to @LukeFRC - The plans came with a drilling template included so I did the best I could with a centre punch and my cordless drill. 2. I added the switches and pots to test the PCB alignment, which was surprisingly fiddly trying to get the 2 SPST switches in the bottom row level with the height of the pot lugs. 3. Once the board was aligned (It was a tight fit) I could start looking at how everything else, including the footswitch daughterboard would fit in. There isn't a huge amount of room, it's all very snug let's put it that way but the quality of the Aion kit was great, no complaints there whatsoever. 4. Once I was happy everything was placed correctly I started to wire it all together 5. In line with the Broughton style I used a set of metal letter stamps that we already had in the kids craft cupboard in the hope that they'd do the job - They were probably too big, and getting them all lined up was no easy feat 🙂 I use a wooden block underneath the enclosure to support the stamping, but even then there were still some indentations in the surface - when doing this you definitely need a rock solid surface/support underneath, any hint of give and the aluminium will warp. 6. I thought rather than leave the stamps as they are I'd fill them in with black enamel paint and then rub back to reveal some nice black indented letters - This process was NOT simple and I should have just wiped off the excess enamel paint with a cloth at the time rather than leaving it to dry and rubbing back. To get anything resembling text I had to use my random orbital sander to blast away at the enamel and in a few places the stamps have almost been removed it was that tricky. Definitely a learning curve! 7. The finished pedal - I'm really pleased with how it turned out, the lettering isn't amazing but I can read it ok - Apart from that the PCB was nice and clean soldering wise and it fired up first time so I must have done something right 😄 So how does it sound? Well I don't have an actual TS50-B to compare with, but from messing around with the settings it's easy to get that gnarly Jesus Lizard/Shellac tone. The boost really kicks the signal into hot territory and has a noticeable effect on how harsh the drive sound is. Bass and treble seem to work as normal EQ pots but the middle is definitely some sort of filter, it doesn't have the normal mid effect that you'd normally get in a 3 band EQ. Will post some sound samples when I get 5 minutes. If you like the Bob Weston/David Wm Sims bass tone this pedal is right up your street and the kit quality was top notch, definitely one to recommend IMHO.
