I still use trace elliot and swr gear both excellent skez

There is only 1 volume control and no active passive switch skez

I do not use pedals but the bass is active. Im glad to find out it is probably the amp as I was just going to spend £50 on a new speaker. skez

Does anyone know the rating of the standard SWR speaker fitted to the workingman's 10 combo skez

I have a workingmans 10 combo which if I turn it past half volume makes farting noises whilst still reproducing the notes I am playing. I assumed it was the speaker and was just about to buy a new one when I decide to try mu EA I amps 500 head through it as a cab and it worked fine up to quite high volumes. So perhaps its not the speaker Im confused skez

I have a very old peavey 2 x 10 bass cab designed to be used with the old 1 x 15 combos The cab is a sealed enclosure not ported anywhere. Does this matter what difference will there be as oppose toa ported cab like my 1 x 10 swr skez

Thanks I did not realise that the cabs used a specific driver I bought it secondhand the driver thats in is an Emminece beta 10a which i am pretty sure is 250 watts into 8ohms I was going to use it with my 4 ohm 1 x15 is that ok I use an old peavey Tmax head which will go down to 2 ohms skez

Hi Im looking to replace the 8 ohm speaker in a Bill Fitmaurice Jack 10 enclosure with a 4 ohm speaker I cannot seem to find a 4 ohm 10 inch bass speaker which must be at least 200 watts (preferably 400 watts) any suggestions of something suitable skez
