  1. Laney Nexus 210 or 115. Under the radar, have the 115 which I use with an Ashdown CTM 30 and sounds mint. Have an N410 also but that's over your weight limit but is really light for it's configuration.
  2. The Brand X Product Album was probably my real intro to Fretless Bass, Wal to Wal JG and P Jones. Also the fantastic Mike Clark drumming on that album.
  3. Am looking forward to Albert Hall next year! Never seen them live and hope that Fredrik Thordendahl will be there. Something about this Band. Most of the imitators fall short or sound like parodies of themselves. Helps that they're all ace musicians.
  4. Now to get the amp refinished in Poseidon green too.😃
  5. Michael Schenker Group (Assault Attack Tour) Hammersmith Odeon. Ears zinging for days. My Bloody Valentine. Roundhouse. Don't know why I went only liked one Song. They were dishing out earplugs at the door. Took them out experimentally and started tasting earwax at the back of my throat. Pendulum - Brixton Academy. Pulverising and would have enjoyed it more sans the irksome Aussie MC. EDIT. Nine Inch Nails at the Royal Albert Hall a couple of years ago. Going to see Meshuggah at same venue next year, expect that'll be a contender too 😂🤣
  6. Live just down the road from Vincent Sq in Great Peter St. Probably heard you. 🤣🤣 If you knew Carter USM I guess you remember John Beast.?
  7. The fearsome Luke Holland on a more metally mood. Or Thomas Haake if I could get round the complexity. Bill Bruford - again complexity.
  8. Alligator were the outfit in Hornsey / Finsbury Park weren't they. Remember visiting a tiny workshop with a pal and being very impressed with their product. Saw one of the amps on a Facebook Group recently.
  9. Used to go in and gaze longingly at Steinbergers and unattainable GK gear. Friend had GK gear and I was always mighty impressed, especially as I had a chronically unreliable Marshall 2x10 combo. No attitude in that shop as I recall. As I lived (still do) a 24 bus ride from Denmark St I was there a lot 80s early 90s.
  10. Dave Weckl, Mike Clark, Tony Williams. If only I had even a scintilla of their talent. Oh and Harvey Mason too.
  11. Wunjo has sort of reinstated a Bass Cellar. Does seem a bit of an afterthought. However I was happy to see a few reasonable lefties. Tried a Warwick Rockbass with low expectations but really liked it. Quickly bought the Speaker Cable I wanted and preserved my credit card. They seemed OK there, I guess covid means anyone in retail still in work needs to up their game.
  12. Moerlen was extraordinary. The 2 "Gong" Albums with Allan Holdsworth and Francois Moze (bass) are timeless masterpieces Gazeuse and Expresso II. Both available on CD👍👍
  13. Certainly the original Bass Cellar folks could be remarkably condescending & snooty.
  14. Denmark St a shadow of it's former self and the entirety of the area has and is being ravaged by developers. Some greedy and trashy buildings. However, Wunjo has a cellar with some Basses. Noden and A stairway to Kevin are still doing repair work. There's also a snooty boutique style shop charging top dollar.
  15. Will sound better with a touch of phalange-er
  16. Any bits left over ? He'll be able to construct a Clavicle-chord.
