  1. Apologies if this has been pointed out before in this thread but I'll compound the heresy. There's a TON of Tonewood Guff on the MTD Basses posts on F/Book lovely instruments tho they are.
  2. Albertine Sarges. Early November at the Windmill Brixton.
  3. Yup. Have Both. My TT is old - replace cartridges (getting pricey for old school Denons sadly) once in a while. Have tried a more modern/better cartridge once. CD more recent. Purchased when £350/400 ones started to sound ok. Old Audiolab / Creek amps and Musical Fidelity speakers. Still sounds sufficiently like music
  4. Plus a lot of people with confirmation bias. It's more expensive, it sounds different and therefore it must sound "better"
  5. Muddling Along. The trace 18" cab from you on a little floor 2.5 foot tall isolator platform that I knocked up (neighbours). My home practice favourite with my CTM30. The Audere preamp is going great guns in a now nicely tidied up KSD J605 left handed. Does a really nice jazz thing with black tapewounds. Suspect one of the pick-ups is a bit fritzed so may hunt out some substitutes. When I win the lottery tomorrow I'll be after some Trace valvey stuff better get a ticket. Doubtless this thread'zll be locked shortly have a good evng Mike
  6. Yup. I guess it's a try and find another like it sort of instrument. Hope you're well Mike ?
  7. Backyard Bast**ds. FWIW can't post the link. Some of the more recent stuff sorta ok but the whole band/enterprise seems atad cynical.
  8. The Wargasm one from about a year ago where Ms Way starts with a cheerleader routine (the backing dancer on lefts poker face towards the end is priceless). Then the bit with the drongo male vocalist kicks in and you give up . I'll append the name of this masterpiece when I get round to it. To be fair Ms Way does essay a bit of bass plus a "wardrobe malfunction" in their latest award stage appearance while the bloke does "dark" vocals
  9. You Spin me Round - (? gulp) Dead or Alive
  10. I'd like that, to go with my AH 500x Will PM you later.
  11. How many laminations are required for a WAL style knob ? 😆😆😆😆 Batteries not included, 9 volts should be adequate.
  12. If you could cope with loads of turns by comparison with the usual it would surely be feasible to produce tuners with a finer pitched thread. Guess an electric tuner winder would be a necessity at restring time though !
  13. I am Colossus Do not Look Down. Actually going to listen to the whole of Koloss. Meshuggah
  14. Off topic I know but I was 2/3 into a London-Brighton cycle rally many moons ago when I caught up with a guy on a Unicycle. 60miles on a Unicycle yikes. Probably ended up with damaged nethers tho.
  15. Plus the lovely Bassist on her Unicycle.
  16. Bit like the Ravi Shankar story were he played an outdoors show in front of a large crowd of hippy trippy Californians. Because of the humidity the string players took an age to tune up. After which the Hippies burst into enthusiastic applause.
  17. All sounds pretty (germanically) efficient, rather different from the mayhem in Blighty ( Project Fear morphing into Reality )
