I was well pleased with my ul212 (ex berserker of this parish) for 300. They are sweet sounding monster monster cabinets. Gratuitous pic again

Trace Elliot RA300 power amp. Oldie but goodie (I hope)?
JottoSW1 replied to JottoSW1's topic in Amps and Cabs
Correct, whopping heat sinks on photo. I think I might get a second hand rack case for carrying it primarily, ideally with a bit of room for adequate air flow. Only more than purely cosmetic issue is a slightly bent rack ear. As and when I gets me some preamps they can live separately or are pedal jobbies. Any spare parts required may be avilable ex another trace expert of our mutual acquaintance ie mosfets. I have an Ah500x ex stewblack of this parish already so two channel goodness already available. Another beast that I need to look after -

Aria TAB-66 leftie in Dunstabubble
JottoSW1 replied to TheGreek's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
@TheGreek thought it looked pretty nice, they're not very expensive new and I've already got a guild starfire 1 (choice between epiphone JC and Guild at time). You rate the aria as a good instrument ? -

Alternatively I could make one I guess. -
So grabbed one of these with free postage (sic) v v v cheap and its on its way. 1) series 6 so no bipolar beary thingy ? 2) old style TE computer transistors ? I'm guessing it's as reliable as a club hammer but more sledgehammer weight? Calling at @Chimike who knows lots. At some point I might look out for a used rack system for it. How much additional space would any of you folks recommend for any used rax mount preamps that I might develop gas for. No alembics etc as I'm skint

Who has a killer bass that they've neglected for one reason or another?
JottoSW1 replied to jd56hawk's topic in Bass Guitars
I had an irate (on his part) "conversation" with a person famillially from the former Yugoslavia who was convinced that decent yamahas from anywhere but Japan were unacceptable. Still vaguely regret not buying the dude on here's lefty trb 5 that was on here (for ages too sigh). Wouldn't admit that to Mr Slivovitz. -
Vitiligo reference ? Sorry I'll get my coat.

BUMPED ... Please buy a lovely guitar. Selling here on behalf of an old friend who has spent even more money on another geetar. Hope these pictures (1 of Each !) will suffice. Condition, 1 blemish which probably won't show on my phone pics (bottom right on the maple back). Hard case obvs not sure if its original. Beautiful looking and sounding (2 my ears) guitar. OK, 1stly my pal is away for 3 wks starting next Tuesday, if you're truly besotted and can make it to london N6 in a hurry (cash on collection obvs) I will call him and make an appointment iff poss. PM me if you wish to get in touch at any point. Don't think he's interested in dispatching UK or Abroad unless it's insured at purchasers expense and for a rather higher price than on here. Obviously offers would have to be 4 his consideration but obvs no p tkrs

Guild X 500 semi acoustic guitar near mint
JottoSW1 replied to JottoSW1's topic in Other Instruments
Was surprised how noisy ye olde style pickups were on such a lovely les paul Told him he should keep the guild too, now I'm soberish I will be posting it for sale on his behalf. I'd forgotten I'd let my subscription lapse otherwise it would already be there inclusive of 10 (errrr) backshots (I didn't love it that much cos I can't play geetar to save my life) -
Guild X 500 semi acoustic guitar near mint
JottoSW1 replied to JottoSW1's topic in Other Instruments
Yes indeed it is , I boggled when he told me he'd purchased a 5k + Les Paul. I'd popped round to his place after a longish gap (to swap 1 of my little old Bass Combos for another loaner, both line 6 go figure plus retrieve some old gale hi fi speakers I'd lent him) Also to show off my (infrequent) travelling rig quilter interbass and single laney nexus n115. Turned the tweeter on and Don played the Guild through the interbass as well. Sounded absolutely mint, though he did say it was potentially a VERY loud 33watts at 8 ohm. He really rated the Interbass Laney for Bass too, "dot bass cab weighs nutting - it's rilly cool and amp is really intuitive " -
750 second hand ?
