  1. Love propaganda
  2. In the case of Nikki Sixx also irrelevant
  3. Irrelevant if you don't like limp bizkit.
  4. I hear you regarding weight and size. Misguidedly carted an Ashdown mag410 up my 66 steps in a hurry (only) once. As for parcel truck adventures when I picked up the boxed nexus tube amp at laney.....
  5. Medicated follower of Fashion - Pete Docherty and Kate Moss
  6. No problem krysh. More attention the merrier. Am happy to field enquiries if required. As it happens my humble bass means I've joined lets talk guild in good faith. Much more restrictive than on here, I imagine because its US based etc? My humble Guild Starfire I bass
  7. BTW vtype v4. Your not anywhere near Audley / Betley North Staffordshire are you?. Used to have friends who lived in Bell Farmhouse Balterley on the former main crewe Rd.
  8. I'm only at all familiar with pre smx stuff. In my relative youth Tracey gear was the unattainable stuff used by Mark King or the living colour dude. Now an Ah500x (purchased a footswitch, hotcover, xlr spkr cables & spare blacklight bulbs, from on here) , 1818t, 1528, Ra300. Possibly a v type combo in a bit. A selection of preamps to go with ra300 when I'm not stonybroke.
  9. Known worse, isn't baphomet the name of an incarnation of the devil. Other than designer names like les paul I think alpha numerics have their advantages
  10. Stripling, I was born in 1962 down the road from where I'm still living in Westminster SW1P
  11. As I recall you've had a few Nexus Cabs, a Nexus tube amp plus more ?
  12. Is that headstock inspired by the Dan Hartmann bass guitar jumpsuit.
  13. Emphatically Seconded. The viktor brandt (dimmu borgir) version my favourite the ultimate explorer/t-bird shaped bass
  14. So as far as my imperfect understanding goes Rickenbackers need a stereo 6.5 trs jack wired to a shielded (4 core ??) Cable with one pair of trs plugs at each of the split pairs at the other end. I assume these can be mono plugs as they each only utilise 2 (positive and earth) of the bifurcated four core cable. Any maximum length to avoid signal drop ? @VTypeV4 as an aside if a Rick was plugged into an AH500X could the two bass inputs be individually routed through the gp preamp and then thru power section.
  15. Laney weighs 77lbs and was fkn unwieldy when I picked it up as NOS in its box at laney hq in Halesowen. Pick up only. I reckon the footswitch must weigh about another 10lbs !! Apparently laney also had a load of ex backline n810s and nx810s going cheap too. As I minicabbed back to Brum and used an excellent alloy parcel truck I passed on those. N410 ought to be a bit cheaper if someone stuck in an offer. Was worried that national coach driver at Digbeth coach station might refuse to load box (duct taped to said screwfix parcel truck. Cab not a problem home 1 mile from Victoria coach station luckily not p'ing down like it was in Halesowen
  16. Quilter drives it surprisingly loud too.😀🤣
  17. I was well pleased with my ul212 (ex berserker of this parish) for 300. They are sweet sounding monster monster cabinets. Gratuitous pic again
  18. No glass back yet then.
  19. Quilter Interbass . Got a second hand one and it's ace. Not a power amp but pedal bord sized 4sure
  20. Correct, whopping heat sinks on photo. I think I might get a second hand rack case for carrying it primarily, ideally with a bit of room for adequate air flow. Only more than purely cosmetic issue is a slightly bent rack ear. As and when I gets me some preamps they can live separately or are pedal jobbies. Any spare parts required may be avilable ex another trace expert of our mutual acquaintance ie mosfets. I have an Ah500x ex stewblack of this parish already so two channel goodness already available. Another beast that I need to look after
  21. I suspect this would work very well mitt mein neues Trace ar300 power amp. GLWTS
  22. If this hasn't gone soon I'm going to do something silly. GLWTS for my own sake. My long ago landlord's daughter let me attempt her clarinet (old rubbish mouthpiece reed and ligature installed first is my excuse) not a success. But this is cheaper than an ewi........
  23. Trade him your saxophone (I jest) . Couldn't afford a new set of strings for a DB myself . Plus I'd have to get it altered to lefty and some mandolin fretwire frets installed (I jest), about the frets anyway!!!!! GLWTS Bass Wielder dude.
  24. Ted Nugent tribute act guitarist with money ?🤣🤣 potential feedback time (and I know he mis-used a Gibson) Think this one may have a maple centre block as it has later style pickguard cut around pickups but no guild logo on it. Guess who's been googling/checking ebay availability...
