  1. As above, 12ft Speakon to Speakon cable. I had this made up in France when I was playing in a band who liked the bass cabs to be spread. Genuine Neutrik plugs, great quality cable. Cost me 40 Euros Lovely condition, just tested it out. £10 + postage (probably about £3) or collect from Ashill
  2. Feeling tired and listless, aching back after your gig? You need the Neotech Mega banjo strap. If you're a player, you probably know what this is. These are £36 new and this one is as new. It's never been used. It was a present when I had a banjo. Superb U.S.A. strap for the pro. £18.00 or £20 posted to UK Now £17 inc postage to UK
  3. Really cool sounding old school Alessis Microverb 1. Does work without doubt however, power supply separated in house move hence, £15. Maybe you have a PSU. (3.5mm mono jack type (v /AC) If you do, grab a bargain. Ebay got them for about £12. If I find the original before a sale, I'll edit ad to £25. Happy to post, guessing at around a fiver. Maybe a bit less. Alternatively, pick up from Ashill IP25

  4. Don't actually see many of these. Part of the range that Danelectro brought out a fair while ago. (The Dirty thirty, Nifty fifty and Nifty seventy) First two being guitar combos, this being the bass combo although, most people play guitar through these. My Taylor acoustic and Thinline Tele both sound fab through this and I regularly gigged with it in a Jazzy duo I was in back in France. However, it's actually a bass combo and was great for learning stuff or small intimate cafe' gigs. (Actually handles a low B really well) This has had a little mod on it but is reversible. The headphone socket hole has been used for a line-out (female 1/4 mono jack) as I wanted to stick it into the P.A without using a mic. Only found a couple for sale at silly money, both in the States. (Reverb It's a really cool looking little amp that handles bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and on one occasion, a lap steel. Got a few little age related scrapes but nothing serious. NOW £60

  5. Can't remember where, or why I bought this, obviously got it in France and probably from a nearby music shop that I remember went into liquidation. Beginners Ukulele with gigbag, instructions in 19 languages except English + CD. It's a bit dusty but unused. Ideal for anyone who's Uke-curious but doesn't want to really commit or anyone that has a propensity for window cleaning. Can't go wrong for a tenner. Happy to post, shouldn't be much as weighs next to nothing. or pick up from Ashill in Naarr-ferk if you prefer.
  6. I bought this years ago when they first came out. Ernie Ball licenced copy by OLP. This has been well gigged and has signs to prove it but nothing that affects playability. Sounds great, plays great. Trem arm now found so will be included. Will throw in a gigbag, New 9-42s fitted yesterday, truss rod fully working. Can only find one for sale on Reverb and they don't come up often so here's your chance. Grab a bargain and rock out. Collection preferred but could post at buyers expense if I get a carton.

  7. Brother bought this on a whim a few years back. Cost him just under £200. We've done a swap so I've ended up with it. Set up for slide and sounds really cool with a little dirt added. Nice clean sound too. Happy to post at buyers cost or welcome to collect and plug in for a try. £90 price firm. Thanks
  8. The last one of those Oompah bands I saw, in our sleepy little village (La Cellette 23) played Walk this way and the Immigrant song😂
  9. Sold a sound module to Hugo. Problem with the PSU but now rectified. Very nice, very understanding guy, prompt payment, great comms. Would happily deal again.
  10. I use one of these. They're brilliant. That's a bargain.
  11. In the Limousin, we we're inundated with either Blues bands or guitarists who'd only ever learned Hey Joe or Highway to Hell.😂
  12. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/VfibzLbLDhXhLzHY/ The annual Fete de la musique in France always managed to turn up something special.
  13. Tonight's gig cancelled, in a sports pub full of pi**heads, next to the big screen, starting at 8.30, 30 mins after the champions league final starts. That was going to work wasn't it? We bailed out. Venue said "Oh yeah, see your point"🙄
  14. Any three numbers from Jedward, Brotherhood of man and Des O'Connor. Just so that all my muso pals who thought they knew me would be sitting there looking at eachother and thinking WTF?
  15. Great starter guitar if the shape is your thing. All works. Super super light so ideal for a young'un if you have a budding Mustaine or Schenker in the household. One pic does show the actual colour of dark metallic blue. Stays in tune, both pups working, 3 way works, truss rod turns and works. Loads of life in the frets and no sharp edges. Can take the neck off to post if required otherwise pick up from, or nearish to, Ashill IP25 7DA No bag, but newly strung with Fender 10-46 as of this afternoon.

  16. It's back. 2 hours of Binga bonga do do zippy yakka noo. Hmm, 5 songs into the preliminary rounds nothing stands out. Our entry is pants. Bring back Stock Aitken & Waterman. Never really a fan but they knew how to write a hook in those days.
  17. Gigging, is not my number 1 priority Daryl. Great if I can spend an evening playing smooth jazz to people who want to hear smooth jazz but also great if I can just get together with like-minded players and play to no-one other than ourselves. I don't need to get paid for playing. I'm happy to play charity gigs all day for nothing however, having said that, I wont play for £50 as I believe commercial gigs like pubs, clubs etc, should reflect the work musicians put in, not devalue it.
  18. Thanks Pat, much appreciated but I should elaborate a little, based on your reply. Firstly, it's not that Blues or pub rock is, nor has to be, any less demanding for a bass player than any other genre. It's just that I don't want to play it. Regarding standard of musicianship, in my case, I'm certainly no more than your average, intermediate player but, I'd like to be playing with people where I don't have to worry about their performance in addition to mine and, who also like the same music. Your reply also suggests that you're in a blues band or doing covers because you think that's what your ability limits you to. Having heard and seen you play on a few occasions, I would argue that you seriously underrate your ability. You have a great sound, you're seriously tight and, because you have confidence in those on stage with you, you enjoy what you're doing and, make it look easy.
  19. I'm finding it difficult to meet people here with the same musical taste and mindset. Not sure the venues exist for laid back jazzy influenced stuff, which is what I'd like to do. Seems to be Blues or pub rock all around. I guess that's what most folks want but unfortunately not what I want to play. I also think that I'm slowly losing interest in music full stop.
  20. Last night's gig, as usual, pretty good for the band, not very for me. They appear oblivious to what's going on and what should be going on. Drummer all over the place with tempos, guitard too loud, Vocalist needs a couple of lessons. Add this to a beautiful old pub that has unfortunately been adopted by every socially dysfunctional t-w-a-t in the town. Most were already pi**ed when I arrived at 8pm. Women even more scary than the men, language you wouldn't believe inside and outside the pub and the obligatory drunk bell-end that informs our female vocalist that he is going to marry her as she's "fu**ing gawjus" I'm too old to spend my time doing stuff like this with people like this. Bandmates are all lovely people but I'll play the remainder of the booked gigs and then bow out graciously. It may even fall to bits before then as the guitarist seems to be joining a third band anyway. Musically speaking, it's been a big disappointment after my time in France so, time to retire methinks.
  21. Owen bought a mixer from me. Paid straight away. Made the whole process very easy, very nice guy, great to deal with, the perfect BCer.
  22. Line 6 multi-effects floorboard controller. Very good condition. Works with guitar and bass Pods etc and some other Line 6 units I bought this a while ago to use with my Line 6 guitar kidney Pod. If you want the whole lot (Kidney Pod and floorboard) it'll be £85 P+P at whatever it costs but welcome to come and try/pick up etc in Ashill, Norfolk.
  23. Quite hard to find these 80W ones. Two channel, acoustic amp from Marshall. Has two Celestion 10" 50w speakers. Sounds brilliant, handle not snapped which is unusual. Bought this quite a while ago and gigged it loads of times. The back had been taken off before I got it but apparently, that's what some people do. Got a few age related gig marks and has a very slight low bump when turning on but doesn't affect use. Ideal for an acoustic solo/duo act as it has an XLR mic input. Everything works and it has a cover. Cheapest I've found second hand is £175 so £100 sounds reasonable. Collection from Ashill in Norfolk IP25 7DA Welcome to come and try and have a coffee.
  24. Bought a project bass from Andy. Arrived very promptly, and packaged to withstand a nuclear attack. Such a nice and easy guy to deal with. Great deal, and great service. Would not hesitate to recommend. Top BCer.
  25. I did a little gig once at a really cool french bistro and the guy who got the gig said he fancied doing it seated so we did. Bit of Joe Cocker, Bozz Scaggs, Joe Sample so not ultra rocky stuff It was a great gig and I felt I'd played really really well that night. It was really comfortable sitting and playing and I'm wondering if I played well because I always tend to practice sitting down so playing, is just easier. If you think about it, most of us probably spent 75% of our playing time sitting down. I'd do it all the time if I could, health issues or not.
