1. I reckon I could enjoy that. Shame you'ver only got low quality audio on those videos, its kinda hard to say whether I like the singer or not. Might have to check your album out when it comes/.
2. Actually I loved. My b9 too. Really heavy though, but worked a treat.
3. I'll be the first to suggest a zoom B3. Should be treated more like 3 single effects in a line, but of course with the option for multiple banks of 3 pedals. It can be used as a very good preamp pedal too, so dependant on how many effects you might want to use, you could stick a preamp on the last pedal, an OD on one, and a chorus (for example) on the other. If you dont need it as a preamp, then this is an ideal way of getting ALL the effects you probably would need in one box. Normally the fuzzes and OD are a bit sh*t in multiFX, but this sounds top notch to my ears, so much so, I got rid of my Fuzz as the big muff clone on this is great! ! £100 well spent!
4. I have an LS-2 on my main board. I use it simply to blend 2 signals into one. I'm going to build a similiar but slimlined board for commutting etc (and maybe if all goes well, just to replace the needfor my big board). I was just going to get another ls2, but for the 2nd hand price of one I could get a brand new Davehall microblender. Bearing in mind what I use it for, is there any reason not to just get the Davehall one? I quite like it being slightly smaller, and i dont need a switch to turn off/on.
5.
There's a pinned thread in General Discussion with advice from some seasoned travellers.
You know, I knew there was a topic about it, just couldnt find it! And there it is, right at the top! Cheers. I've had a good look through it.
6. I have started to cut the real lows with an EQ pedal (or should I say the EQ effect in a zoom ms60b). The lowest band is 50hz, so I cut that a good bit. It doesnt affect the proper bass being produced by the amp, but it tightens up the sound massively. Well thats what I find anyway.
7. For me its simple. I dont have the luxury to always use my amp. Therefore I use a preamp to be able to get the same sound to FOH at every gig. Its an 'always on' thing
8. Just got a few Q's how the rest of you all do this. I'm playing in the USA in March, my original plan was to just take bass as hand luggage, but my mate put me off this idea (rightly or wrongly I dont know). we then looked at just hiring as bass over there, then we talked to a band who have been over a few times and the bass played just put it in a flight case and 'wrapped' it along with the other bits of hardware. I see this as getting a pallet, putting the stuff on, and wrapping it with industrial shrink wrap. Just wondering, how and what you all do?
9. This is still kicking about. I'm in no major rush to sell, just a shame it's not going to get use Anytime soon So, who wants it.?
10. What's the output? I might be tempted if it's big!
11. After last night,we've kinda decided on 10 songs that we're going to play over the few shows we're doing. Therefore I could realistically go down to 3 pedals. So, batteries its going to be! cheers for your help! Actually.... we do have a korg Microkorg. The actual keyboard doesnt state the voltage etc, but the adapter does state 110-240v AC. I wonder if that will be ok to use!
12. That's good to know. Thanks. Ill need to have a look tonight, hopefully the power brick does do that. If not I'm in a bit of a position!
13. My band are going to the USA for a few shows. My pedal board consists of a zoom b3, a zoom ms60b. Digitech bsw, ls2 and a behringer us600. My understanding is that I can simply use a USA 9v adapter if the pedals say '110 - 240v'. Is that correct? So if say, when I'm over there I just by a 9v adapter to daisy chain the required pedals? Another thing I've got is that I can't actually see on the Web whethery pedals camn work on 110v. It seems that it's normal for modern electricals to do so, but I can't see for sure. My pedal boards currently not in my possession and they are velcroed up so I might not get to see the wee sticker. Anyone got experience with these particular pedals? Thirdly, would it preferably just to try do without the full board and just take what is absolutely necessarY?.... Ie I might be able just to use the b3. All advice welcome. Cheers
14. Another shout for the B3. Just treat it as 3 separate pedals, each one has 3 knows to control the parameters. Press up and down on Any of the three pedals to choose your effect. I actually don't think it could get easier!
15. Worth going for just for mike keneally
16. Why not a floor midi controller triggering a laptop or somethin? Seems alot of faff.

18. That's the exact one I've got my eye oN, the guitary one. Might keep an eye out for a 2nd hand one for a week or two, but for that kinds price, you can't fo wrong. Plus it looks nice!
19. I'm looking for something simply to get an amplified sound out of when at home. I currently use my PC, but thats becomin a faff and to be honest, so I'd love just a wee amp that I can plug and play. I'm not convinced I necessarily want a bass specific one either, so open to guitar amps too. Looking to spend £50 - £60, there seems to be about a million of them (guitar and bass) out there, Alot for even less. I'm suspecting that at this price, theres not gonna be a big difference. Anyone currently use a cheapo one that you'd recommend? cheers
20. For me, this tune is all about the vocal performance. If you have an average vocalist it'll sound very average. But a great vocalist can really push the song into greatness. Lots of tunes can be sung by average singers and can still sound decent enough. This tune is raw enough to need a great singer. Bass in verses is out. Just stand and move like you're enjoying yourself. Pretty simple really.
21. Hilarious thread! Must say, one of my pet hates is when band try too hard. Some people have a bit of style on stage, and others dont. I certainly dont. One thing I've worked on is to make sure I make eye contact with the crowd. Less fretboard gazing or staring at the pedal board. And as long as I make sure I look confident and enjoying myself then it's all good! Slightly off topic, but a massive hate of mine is when a guitarist (with his wireless system) decides to dive out in amongst the crowd whilst playing. IMO thats totally cringeworthy.
22. Think this is a sansamp clone. Seems to do it exceptionally well. I love the sound from it. Does that one job really well. I'm only getting rid of it as I've went back to an zoom MS60b as a preamp (just so I can get a graphic EQ and noise suppressor). This thing has quite a loud clunk when switching on and off. Therefore I wouldnt want to use it as a stomp box. Also it feels like the innards are slightly off centre meaning the gnd lift switch is hard to switch and the 9v input is quite tight. these are design quirks, not faults. Everything works though. Decent velcro on the bottom. fully boxed. 2 months old Delivered to your door £25.00 in the UK.
23. I'm the same as Westwood, got one on my board for a whammy effect. Sounds abit sh*t though if it's kept on at an octave up.
24. I quite like it. Its a very well spent £25. I dont know whether I'd spend £50+ on it though. I've never really properly cranked the gain on it, so cant comment too much on it as a 'rock' machine. I've got it set pretty low gain but seems to be doing that nicely. I will say though, that the tone does translate pretty well into 'any old amp'. I've used it through a number of amps, and I've got pretty much the exact tone from it. One thing though is that the switch pedal is pretty rubbish. So if you're thinking kicking this on and off throughtout a set, then think again. It makes a massive clunk too which I've never experienced in any other pedal as bad as this. The DI is perfectly good too. Not really had an issue in the two times I've used it. Its a metal casing and pretty small too... I'l link to a pic so you can see it compared to other pedals. At £25, its well worth a pop.... you're hardly gonna lose anything when you sell it on.
