I used to have mine as low as possible, but I actually prefer a wee bit of push back nowadays. I don't play overly complicated stuff very often though so that might be the reason. back wjen i was acteen and i played extreme, mr big, dream theater etc i needed all the help i could het. Haha

I had an ashdown with that exact button on it. Don't think I used it once. Octavers as an effect though..... Woooft.... My favourite thing!

Genuine question.... Why does anyone want to send you effected signal directly to foh bypassing the preamp? Especially if you have fuzz and dirt? If your playing decent sized gigs then the only folk hearing your nice amp is you? Unless I'm missing something of course.... Fraser
I posted this in another thread, might be relevant here too: Have you considered going to a battery pack instead? I've ditched external power supplies and been using a single rechargeable battery to power all my effects, I use the Sanyo Eneloop Pedal Juicehttp://www.amazon.co...y/dp/B007BZAGW4 It's superb. I run 2x500ma multi effects units and a TC Polytune and it easily lasts 2 sets with 30-40% power leftover. And it means one less mains socket to hunt out for powering your pedals from and a less leads trailing about the stage.
I actually looked into that sanyo thing when I looked into power supplies, but I just didn't feel totally confident with it. I know that there's not a piece of electronical equipment that is 100% reliable but I just felt that a traditional power block made more sense..... However, I still really like the idea of a battery so I may come back to it in the future.

Foo Fighters and Royal Blood and Honeyblood
lefrash replied to Thunderpaws's topic in General Discussion
I've played many a gig with honey blood , always loved their sound but wasn't convinced it would work in such a large setting; I'm chuffed it did! -

If any of you are off to see the libs next week, then pop along to see the support band Hector Bizerk. Wee bit of hip hop to get you going. We are main support in Manchester and Glasgow. Cheers Fraser
I got a Mooer Fog today and I'll be sending it back. The Prymaxe Vintage youtube video tricked me into getting it because it sounds awesome in there, however when I tried it at home it sounded pretty much like the Mooer video where it's just awful. No idea how they achieved that sound in the Prymaxe video.
Really? It's quite wild, but I think it sounds cool! Very usable in the right setting IMO.

After a few calculations ive worked out that the hb power plant junior 'should'be enough to power the whole board so I've wired that up. My stiff never looks that tidy, but it's doing the job!

I've finally managed to decide on a fuzz... It's a fredrics fuzz, and its bloody amazing! With a blend control its tame enough for my use but can be cranked to go a bit wild ! Got it last week, done 3 gigs with it and its a keeper. I've also just recently got myself a new small case and board, perfect size and leaves no space for extras. Basically it goes.. Bsw dry signal - pitch shifter - fuzz - ms60b(which is my graphic eq, noise gate, preamp and modulation) - ls2 - into amp. The bsw wet signal goes straight Into to ls2. Means that the octaver and occasional synth from it remains in effected... It just sounds massive when it kicks in. As you can see there is no power... I bought a diago micro power on here but its went missing in the post but it seems to be the ideal power solution so I'll probably try to source another one.
I'm running a Boss tuner, Boss overdrive, a Sansamp BDDI, Sansamp VT Bass DI and a Morley ABY. I'm planning on adding a chorus, but no rush. They're all 9v and the PSU outputs at that voltage. No issues. I suppose if/when it carks out, I'll simply replace it like for like. Still can't see the point in spending any more.
Mine is good too, and I've no issue with the quality... but at 120ma per ouput it does limit the usage. I've had my pedal board cut out as some of my pedals were just to thirsty. But if the power consumption isnt a problem, I'd always gofor the HB... in fact I had 2 for a bit!
I don't know much about fuzzes, but actually really like the Muff model on my Zoom MS-60B. It's relatively cheap and will give you much more than just the fuzz...
I was using the fuzz on the ms60b for a bit, but it doesnt sound brilliant. Its definately usable but I think Its much more useful for other things.

Cheap but decent power supply. 5x9v at 120ma each. This is from thomann and is about 2 months old. Used for half a dozen gigs. I'm condensing my board and I've already got one, so this one is surplus now. Fully boxed, got all the power leads. 5 short, 5 long, and a doubler. Velcro on the bottom, and wired with a UK plug. Bear in mind 120ma won't power all pedals, but should handle most things you throw at it. 20 quid posted. Thanks.

This wee box has a multitude of effects. Great wee space saver on your board. Never used it for normal guitar, but worked great on bass. I used it for all the delays, flanger, rotary speaker etc. All the effects you probably use once a set but couldn't live without. I just put it at the end of my chain and pressed left and right to pick the next effect between songs. This is worth it even just for tap delay! I'm current!y cutting my board down to the necessities so this will sit unused. I don't like sitting on gear unless I'm planning to use it so time to move it on. Fully boxed, Velcro on the bottom. 48 squeakers. Plus £5 postage. Trades? On the lookout for a fuzz. Must have a clean blend and roughly boss sized. I would be interested putting cash your way if something interesting comes up. Cheers

Well I tried out the fog fuzz last night.. It's certainly not a subtle pedal that's for sure! Although it sounds really interesting on it's own I do think it will get lost in the mix quite easily so I'll need to try it with a clean blend to see how that works out! The squeeze knob really gives it that glitch synthy sound which is great fun!

Anyone got thoughts on this?
Hi been following this, as I find myself in the same position. Please update on how you get on with the fog as in two minds wether to pull the trigger on one.
Will do mate. Just picked it up tonight and I'm astounded at the size of it. Not sure how it'll mix with a size 11 adidas samba! Haha

I've went for the mooer fog fuzz. Not sure how I'll cope with such a small pedal, but I'll see how it goes. I saw those wooly mammoth clones too. I may try one next if the mooer doesn't work out!

This is a great idea, and I was literally looking for something like it last week! Good work

I use an ls2 and it works a great. However I'm going to have to shrink my board down so that dha one looks just a touch snugger!
