1. ^ someone actually LIKES an epi EB0/3 bass!!!???
2. funny you guys should say that 'cos once i had a guitar and i actually FIXED the neck dive problem by moving the button from the neck pocket to the upper horn.
3. ^nah mate if i was gonna get a sandberg from thomann, it would be this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/sandberg_california_pm5_natur.htm yummy!
4. apart from the fact that it says "jazz bass" when it's clearly a P-bass body, it's a very nice bass.
5.
first page on google Dolphinmusic - £599 (Ebony)
or you could go to thomman like i suggested and get it for £477 with free delivery.
6. wow if i didn't know any better i would have thought that was an old bass. Fender really did get what they wanted with this one, didn't they?
7. ok i'll do one. Harley benton jazz bass copy (sold on to some w***er who way overcharged me for a)- Shine 5 string bass (sold for £40 to my mate) Peavey milenium BXP (my favourite bass atm, i don't think i'll ever sell it unless i'm asked for a swap between this and a bass custom made by the god of thunder himself ) Columbus jazz copy (don't ask about this one, you don't want to know what i did)
8. ^ don't forget VAT, import duty and delivery costs when buying from overseas tho.
9. that is stupid yes. Epiphone don't even have a custom shop as far as i'm aware and they defo wouldn't make a bass for £800. http://www.thomann.de/gb/epiphone_jack_casady_eb.htm oh yeah sure £800 and these guys don't think it's too valuable to post FROM GERMANY!
10. ^ at 5' 7" loads of people make me feel short very recently i went on holiday, leaving me without a bass for a week. It was just last week when there was all the massive flooding and i'd left both my amps downstairs! Forturnately we live on a hill so we were ok. I hope the guitarrist at least pays to have it fixed or you have insurance.
11. i love peavey milenium basses, i am so gonna get my hands on one of them when i get the money except mine'll be a see thru colour with 5 strings.
12. jesus christ that guy may aswell go all the way and paint that f***ing black!
13.
It's the Ampeg SVX
ampeg did not invent bass amplification!
14. what an idiot! Trading an esh for an olp MM
15.
to be honest, they weren't worth showing anyway.
i would disagree. If anyone cares (which they probably don't) and coludn't find a pic of a columbus jazz bass (nvm about the other one, if you've never seen a squier p-bass before, you must have been born blind) theb here's one. It's mine, why i ever got rid of that sexy naturally aged sunburst finish i will never know.
16. Wow, 7 basses- all very sexy.
17.
+1. I keep mine right where I can get 'em.
seeing that jazz bass makes me wonder why i ever touched a can of spray paint in the first place. I also keep 3 of my 4 instruments on wall hangers and t'other 1, my favourite bass, on a stand next to the amp.
18. well on the active version, it sounds very remenicent of an earthquake machine i was surprised at the clear sound i got out of it even through a crappy little amp at the shop when i tried it actually myself. Well thanks 4 the comments guys.
19.
Listening back on speakers it's obvious that there are some issues with panning too wide
I don't think it was panned too far wide, just too much to the left, maybe u should move the right one in a bit closer next time?
20. i was thinking of getting some of those sexy markbass cabs. Easier to transport than my SWR goliath coming in at 44kg!
21. I really should get some ear protection. Thing is though that I seem to have a mild form of tinnitus which i've had pretty much as far back as i can remember, i think it's because as a young child (maybe some would argue i'm still a child now, but that's a different story altogether) i had very sensitive hearing, i couldn't even go to the cinema or anything. I think i have a bit of hyperacusis now aswell, for the last couple of nights i've been having trouble sleeping because of the ringing in my ears even though it's very mild and it's pretty much the same as the previous nights. I just can't switch off because my brain keeps trying to switch me back on, if that makes sense. So thanks ian for giving me that link, if it ruins my holiday i'm definetly seeing the doctor about it. Also when you consider that 100db is like a loud rock gig and 75 is like the sound your car probably makes traveling along the motorway, that 25 db of protection really does begin to make sense.
22. ^it doesn't. It's being built. And i play a five string anyway
23.
It's efficiency, not laziness that makes me think "isn't there an easier way of doing this?" That little bit was using 80 grit paper! I wonder if you get courser stuff for the Mouse. Nitromors? Hot air gun? Anyone got any other suggestions? I'm going to meet with my sister soon to discuss ideas. What year is your gf in?
it's probably better to do it with 60 grit first, then as the paint thins go up to 80. using 40 tends to give you massive scratches in the paint so it's not such a good idea really.
