1.
some money
me too!
2.
basses are allowed more than four strings!
Well i play a five string and i think even that has a name extension on it!
3. i must agree with what some people have said before, technically because it has 4 strings, it doesn't matter what it's made out of, it's still an electric bass. However the instrument in your avatar because it has so many strings, it's not actually a bass. There is a name for it but it's very crazy.
4. u mean ur sellin? 'cos i might buy it. It would have to be in july though.
5.
I owned a F205 with EMG HZ pickups. My problem with the LTD series instruments is that they have sod all character to the sound (IMHO) Most of the players I see using the F or be series basses have horribly scooped sounds - too much bass and hissy top end that gets lost amongst guitars and cymbals which totally screw a band's onstage mix.
of course that could be just because it's a crap series. What u want is at least the 400 seiries.
6. I thought that when i first started on a 5. Now it's easy. I have a 4 and a 5 stringer now.
7. ^yes but where do i obtain this 5 string verson without going on ebay
8. i did like the same thing 'cept i use a real guitar amp and my bass amp together. Also my bass amp has a direct out so it's a lot easier to connect to 2 amps. Oh and you should think about using the "straight line" function on paint next time for the bass.
9.
All of these basses are made in the same factory. they used to do a neck through 6 string that was actually a rebadged Peavey Grind.
No it's not. But i tell u what, it is exactly like this bass: http://www.bachmusik.com/en/p100198/bach-5m/ I must admit yes it does look a lot like a peavey grind, it might even be based off it but it's not. If u look at a peavy grind: http://www.thomann.de/gb/prod_ali_2_AR_146073.html there are a few differences. First the peavey has that "shark tooth" headstock shape. It also has a scalloped bit on the treble side to help slapping. Another big difference, although not so obvoius just looking at it, is the peavey has imbuya body wings whereas the bach is made out of mahogony. So, copy? maybe. Same bass but rebranded? no. Oh and btw none of these basses are a "rebadged" anything, the factory just send out a load of basses to various different companies that put their own brand names on. I also bought one of those shine 5ers off some guy on ebay and despite me paying a lot more then i should have, it was still a nice bass for the money, imo. I actually sold it to one of my mates for £40.
10.
Hmmm ... £255, not bad, not bad at all.
sounds like my amp sereously tho, i would so like to get one of these basses, if only they had a 5 string version...
11. if your freind is anything like my mate, u will never, ever get them unless u physically go to his house, get his camera, phone what ever it is, put it on his computer and send it to ur own email address.
12. i ruined an old 1970s japaneese jazz bass copy I reckon that the copies are at least as good as their american counterparts at the time. The sound i get from it is amazing and it's not bad to play either.
13. i know sum1 who has a 5 string version of the first bass pictured, actually it's just a 4 string with an unesicarially wide neck and strings far too close together and to the right, y'see the b string isn't on it and the bridge saddle for it is bust. As is usually the case with the person in question's basses...
14.
I'd only record with a compulator assuming that there wasn't a better studio rack comp.
which there is
15. someone, it seems, likes to have their bass at a very high angle. That's crazy but i suppose that's what makes it nice. I doubt grand designs would have got through the first season hed kevin mcloud not been able to come up with new and imaginative ways to say that for every show!
16. Well i'm sure there are cheaper things. But that's straying far, far away from the beautiful land of the free that is the point. Here's my rig: very grainy pic of a 1986 SWR SS180, got it off ebay And my very sexy peavey milenium BXP, these are both pretty old pics: here's something a bit newer: After over 2 years, i'm still amazed at how loud and low this bass is, the tone remains clear however. As for the amp, very loud and low. The EQ could be a bit better but really it's a pretty bitchin' setup for under £470!
17. I remember seeing those speakeasy basses on the bass centre website. I thought it was their in house brand 'cos the logo is the same. Maybe they just nicked it. http://www.basscentre.com/cat/index.php?cP...612fd50d72af968
18. i don't know why... but those knobs seem strangely farmiliar... Hmm but apart from that, very very nice bass, i wouldn't mind having a bass just like that were it fretted
19. those fender p and jazz 5ers are just insane, the string spacings just like a 4 but with an extra string on, i'm not a slap player myself but having such a massive distance between the strings sure must help! I also just love the chunkieness of such a wide spacing. That bridge p/u looks pretty high up aswell, i must say i do want a bass with a pickup like that 'cos i just don't like the sound or to play f/s a pickup right next to the bridge.
20. this isn't about a bass (as such) but my dad wanted a new hifi because our old one (to be fair it was made in like 1970s) only worked in one speaker. So i thought to myself "ok well it's long past it's warranty now, may aswell try to fix it. Opened it up, looked inside and hey presto 2 fuses. Swapped them round and it worked in the other speaker. Went to the local euronics centre, got a 50p fuse and it worked! Not bad considering he was gonna scrap the whole thing and get a whole new one. So remember kids (well ok im probably the youngest one here, aren't i?) always check the fuse before you go and get a new thing, and not just the one in the plug, either!
21. Well i havent tried 1 myself but i have a peavey millenium BXP (very sexy i might add aswell) and it sounds the dog's nut's i think. Obvoiusly it's a bit diffo to a zodiac but the point is peavey make excelent quality basses (and amps) for not much money.
22. ^i almost got one of them but i decided i needed a loud amp more.
23. ^yes it's not really a bass if it only has 2 strings Oh and burpster- call me eddie
