5. Bill wyman used one.. What's that smell? Bull@@t
6. Apparently , the dress code was'no chords'
7. Did they get upset because the barman wasn't running a tab.?
8. The bass I learnt to play on.hondo 2 precision copy. Learning to play on firewood is quite frustrating. .
9. Folky countryside ? That explains why I might've had the bump with them
10.
Initially I thought that I quite liked the look of this custom fretless bass. It's made by a company called 'Unorthodox guitars'. But why is there that sharp bit where the neck joins to the headstock. And while I like the neck through natural wood look, what's up with the massive wide 'through neck' bit on the back of the body? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fretless-bass-/171141299388?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item27d8d0fcbc
Probably cos they're unorthodox
11. Strange , that I seemed to miss out/ ignore this band . I did get a 12. " single in the 80s( obviously cheap). One track was a instrumental . They were prog weren't they?
12. Better not comment here, don't wanna lower the tone
13. Think I'll stay with the rc2 and get the fs6 foot switch . Saw demos on you pube.
14. Is the boss fs 6 the way to go ?
15. Have you thought about the amplification you are using ?
16. He played a few basses, not just precision s . How much are they worth ?
17. Headless basses are probably not suitable for these purposes;)
18. I've always been wary of posting basses(well it'd be courier). I wouldn't want the receiver giving me abuse about it not being what they wanted etc. On the other side of the coin, I had two basses I won on eBay sent perfectly from Germany
19.
I have basically everything they have done. Black album/ reload/ garage days/ st anger don't get played now, and haven't for years. Reload is probably the worst thing they have ever released.less than a handful of songsnonnthere worth mentioning. Load is a masterpiece in comparison. St .anger is not too bad apart from the pots and pans lars used on it instead of drums. Justice is and always was gonna be a great album , despite the absent bass on it. I do like the fact that altho' they have been mainstream for years , they still. Play the heaviest stuff from their first 2 albums. It may not sound so good live now, but other bands in their position would have played more softer balladry stuff instead. Good to see them get as big as they are,,despite lars being a total tw@t. Lets face it, back in the '80s MTV and the like we're trying to convince us that con jovi/lepper and Europe was heavy metal. Metallica were too big to be ignored. I don't like the "metallica Family' that James says at gigs tho '
Btw the 598ep is awesome, and I must dig that out again.
