  1. Did it once, a long time ago, again to the main act. My new bass. I had to hang about until they finished to get it back. They took it to their dressing room, which I wasn't allowed to access. They left the bass in there. It had scratches and one pot spun was twisted out of position. First and last time.
  2. What a dog. 3-pin DIN for going into you radio!!
  3. Yep. But it brings another meaning to the term 'scatterwound', I'd wager. I wonder what the sleeve on the coil actually is.
  4. I keep coming back to this bass. Check the 'noodle' coil on the rear pup!
  5. That was taken after some dame in the front row head-butted him.
  6. The original prototype was a bit more whacky. And a later one, from '78. I have never known of this one's existence until today!
  7. Reminds me of this...... Jah Wobble/Holger Czukay/Jaki Liebezeit
  8. Are you not referring to what the Yanks call 'Low Ballers'? Time Wasters are not necessarily Low Ballers though they most often can be.
  9. That one pops up now and again. Speaking fo Steiny prices, the ones for sale in Japan - and there seems to be hell of a lot of them! - are around the £3K+ mark.
  10. Philo bass Wonder how Fender arrived at a price that reflects the retail price?
  11. That one got pulled for being too racy. The laser beams one became the TV vid.
  12. Norman Watt-Roy played the bass that Horn sampled for 'Relax'. But, yeh, O'Toole was a slap-merchant.
  13. I used sing 'Hit me with those Levinson Blades' during the '90s when Blades came out.
  14. What a shame. I always thought those Ali jobs were neck-through.
  15. Underbelly take months to pay tech invoices. I hear they've tightened up a bit but I knew a few guys that waited six months to get paid from last Summer.
  16. If only they'd moved that front pup back a bit. If only.
  17. No way could I have afforded a whole new rig. I bought the AH250 first. It was 2nd-hand, one of the wooden sleeved ones, as were the two cabs that followed a couple of months later. Eventually split the rig when I moved out of town several years later.
  18. My dream rig in 1980 after seeing Mark King use one (albeit 8 x 10" cab) and finally got the full rig (AH250, 2 x 4 x 10") in '84. I could just get the whole rig, plus one bass, into the back of my little Datsun Sunny estate with the back seat down. Happy days.
  19. Decent price. BIN or best offer. Ibby Black Eagle.
  20. This reminds me: I need to get my derrière in gear for a Limelight Jazz.
  21. And I mean OLD!! So much for originality.
