  1. This is my favour section. Awaken
  2. That's a favourite of mine. Anderson is brilliant here.
  3. Aye, the early stuff is miles away from CTTE and everything after. Some of it is really fast and edgy. Loved Pete Banks.
  4. I was lined up to buy that very bass. I recall Neil's widow wanted to emigrate to Oz and start a new life. It had been valued then at £2000 (even then I thought that was an undervalue) but she would accept £1200 for a quick sale. Because of bad relations with my bank, a bank loan was OOTQ and by the time I had raised the money it had been sold to the bassist in Glasgow band Gun, so I was informed. There was a story how Neil came into possession of that bass. He apparently met a girl in a nightclub one night and they went back to her place. During conversation, he revealed that he was a bassist. "Oh, my uncle used to play bass!" she said. "He doesn't play any more and he keeps it here!" She knelt down and from under her bed pulled out a two-tone 'burst stackpot Jazz. Neil got it for a song.
  5. Topo was hard work for me when I first got it but I persevered with it. There are some good sections on it, though.
  6. Looks like one. Steve Currie playing? Slab P
  7. Same here. Still is a massive influence. God knows why Glover fkd with that Rick, though,.
  8. I've always wanted a Jolana Galaxis Basso IX
  9. 1984 transitional model. Has the plug-in leg-rest hole (rest missing from bass when I purchased it), SS pickups but the XL string-retainer and bridge. Has VVT circuit. A very rare bass, indeed. No issues whatsoever. Comes with tatty, black oblong case. No swaps or trades, please. Would prefer local pickup.
  10. Love the scalloped edges. This boy will go far.
  11. Loved his posing and his playing. RIP, Steve.
  12. Seriously?? Is that what word was?? Man alive, I can die happy now!
  13. Had two, both early '90s; a fretted and a fretless. Should never have sold them.
  14. For a furniture designer, that wasn't a bad attempt at headless with graphite.
  15. I have a scan of the original interview in which this bass is featured. That price, though.....Brrr!! Steinberger prototype
  16. Absolutely no need for throwing a reference to the holocaust into my thread.
  17. Interesting thing is, there's always fakers popping up on Reverb - in fact there's two up there now! - and they remain for some time. I think I shot myself in the foot my mentioning 'Ricky' in the description and a lone 'Waffen drone saw the chance to crow loudly to the Apoplectic One and it was taken down. Not even six hours....🥺
  18. On Reverb, too! Floated a 'faker yesterday and it didn't last six hours before it was pulled. I didn't even name it in the title as a Rick copy but, upon checking, I foolishly stuck that in in the description. John Hall's arselickers never sleep, it would seem. 🤬
  19. I know! I spotted a Lowden acoustic on ebay today, described as having 'light wear' but was pitted with dents.
  20. Spotted this earlier on today. Very much like the ESP Horizon P from the same era. Nice price, too, but shame about that hole on the headstock. Blade P-Bass
  21. Really? You think the final price on that auction was way over an above for what you'd pay for it? Why?
