5. I bet they sound breathtaking with the Naim amps. What sources do you put through them?
 6. In my humble opinion, this sounds better to me than a Genz 2x12" My old drummer said that it made his eyeballs vibrate.

 8. I went to see the Chilis in 1989 at the Manchester Apollo, on the Mothers Milk Tour. That hybrid of funk, punk and metal was theirs and it spawned 1000s of imitators. They were unbelievabley funky, powerful and owned the stage and the crowd. The only upsetting part was at the Time, the Apollo was seated and when people rushed to the front to boogie, the bouncers just let rip and started to leather everybody. Not good. Oh and Flea is a monster of a bassist.

 14.
Yes I fitted one on my Strat took a bit of time to get it right, that's why I went for a pre slotted nut for my bass to cut down the fiddling.
Hi Decker, I was asking GW-Grand Wazoo, if he had ever fitted a nut before. He said cut the slots to where the strings naturally fall from the tuning pegs. This will not work.
 15.
On the whole.... 5 or 6 out of 10 for difficulty maybe? Don't get me wrong I LOVE Chris Wolstenholme's basslines, but I've never found a bassline I couldn't figure out after about half an hour. (Not being arrogant or anything )
Nailed Teen Town in half an hour did you? lol.
 16.
First of all when you buy a nut, never buy it pre-cut no, get one blank and then either you place it against the old one and start cutting the slots off yourself, or get a luthier to do it. Fender sell a very good reconstitued bone nut, which behaves and performs exactly like a bone one, bear in mind a real bone nut cut and fitted by a pro can cost between £45 to £65 and I have known plenty of luthiers that recommend the Fender recon. one as being as good as the real thing. But as I've said the most important thing is to buy it blank, glue it in first and then gently start cutting the slots to match the other one or follow the way your strings naturally fall from the tuning peg on to the new nut.
Hi GW, have you ever fitted a blank nut before?
 17.
The Dave Grusin take on it is just fantastic, some stunning arranging. Enjoy. Garry
Thanks Garry, that was amazing.
 18.
It was mid-1980s and I had hardly played for about two years. I got talking to a saxophonist. I said 'I used to be a musician.' He said 'Do you still have your instrument?' I said 'Yes.' He said 'Man, you're still a musician, you just ain't getting any better.'
Wow!
 19.
The bassist is brilliant, great player... in fact the whole band are so tight. But that kind of production and performance leaves me cold. Maybe it's just the sharp musicianship that leaves me wondering where the soul can be found in stuff like this. A few years ago I would have enjoyed watching this but my view on music has changed a lot since then, the whole thing seems too sterile for me and too polished. But hey, different stokes I guess!
+1
