1.
Wasn't thrilled by the line-up... except for Rumer which I could listen to for hours. I'm no fan of the drummer of the Jools Holland band, I think he's the weakest link in the band. The bass-player holds it together for me. Interesting to see how an "easy" song like the one by Rumer can be so tough to lay down.. I see bass-virtuoso's every day on youtube but the real challenge is to play something really tight and smooth when it's slow and every note counts.. 3.
These are great basses - the bridges use "full range" piezo technology unique to ESH, crazy deep low end! Marmite basses ;-) Happy new year all! Mark PS - Am at my new year gig checking up on basschat............lol
Hi Mark, can Esh do these as lefties?

5. Soul, is soul. The only constant is that somebody is gonna feel sad. Hathaway, Gaye, Martyn. I rest my case.
6. It was listed as a gritta bass, Gawy Gritta? Chinese glam? Anyone? Forget it.
7. OLD LPB.
8. Not an awful bassist but a truly awful piece of music.

11. It's one of Bilbo's missing carrots.
12. My old Jaydee MK recorded well but seemed to get lost in the band mix. The real problem was the rubber neck but that was only a problem for some basses in the mid to late 80's.
13. I got a can of cant.
14.
Hardly Ellie's fault though is it? That's like saying you think ill of turkeys because of Bernard Matthews
With her projected earings, she could try to make a difference in the sponsorships she picks.
15. Ellie Burgers, Bernards last product, before he died.

17. Sir Lancelot to the rescue. "Come here, my blonde beauty, let me take you away from all of this awfulness"

19. A warm Christmas welcome, from all the nutters at Basschat.
20. Stella, or Chateau Nerf Du Pape with your curry?
21. TWLL. Ha, possibly my first internet acronym. Turkey curry to whoever works it out.
22.
I just got back in from a gig. It was a complete utter accident; my bass fell on the floor and the G string tunning peg has completely snapped. I was told by a band mate we were covered by "band" insurance and it covers gear etc. Turns out they never got it, and the venue isn't liable since they told us in a contract we would need the insurance. Now what? Ernieball don't just sell replacements, so for a real deal I would have to send it off, no? And who should be paying for this? I fear myself.... (serves myself right properly)
Why would the venue be liable for your guitar falling on the floor? Did it fall from a stand, did you drop it? Was it pushed onto the floor?
23. I've had one US transaction for hardware, which was an Ampeg SVT IIP Preamp. It worked fine for the first two weeks, then died. I bought it through the TB classifieds and got in touch with the seller and told him about the problems. He said get it fixed and tell me how much it will cost and he will pay for it. It cost £100 to repair, $200 at the time. He sent me the money the same day I payed the tech to repair it. Outstanding. Not all Americans are pinheads.
