6. I own one of these bad boys and they are full of tone. Partner this with a Crown or QSC power amp and you could have a 2000 watt Ampeg head for about a third of the price and weight of an SVT II.

13. My very first bass. Solid as anything and a great price for this one.

17.
Good evening, Wayne... No, at the time, my son Tom didn't know who the guy was (and didn't care much, either, that's youth for you...). Once he saw how the guy played, however, his ears pricked up somewhat. I asked if he would dedicate it, after the show, as a kind of souvenir. As I said, it's rubbed off since, so it matters little now..! At least Tom now knows for certain that if there's a problem playing something, it ain't the bass, it's him. He's moved on since and taken over my 6-string fretless, so the Cort is played less now. Happy days, however...
Nice story.
18.
Hmmm, I can't put my finger on it. There's something that makes me think you guys could be so much better! I actually thought your singer was quite good, but the songs don't really flatter her style and timbre. Maybe try slowing the songs down? Everything seems a little rushed and breathless (the music that is, not the singer). Also, I think the songs you have decided to cover are quite characterless too. Again, as others have mentioned, I know you need to try to cater for everyone by playing songs that everybody knows, but you really don't need to sell out as much as you think to keep customers happy. Try and pick a few songs that are dynamically and musically interesting. I'm sorry to say it, but you all looked a little bored. Covers are supposed to be fun! It just sounds like an un-mastered CD. The music's there, it's tight and it's ok... just needs finesse! Truckstop
Really good analysis. Great post. You speak like a musician.
19.
Marcus Miller bass to the rescue.
Ahemmm. Also, don't hate Vic, he is extraordinary, lives in a time of rampant consumerism, preaches a message of peace, self improvement, doesn't sell many albums in the general sense and as far as I know buys his Foderas. The world would be a smaller place without Vic.
20. Marcus Miller bass to the rescue.
21. I saw her quite a few times when she first started, then a bit later with Tricky supporting. Good to see Mick Harvey.
22. Positive vibes for the bass genius.
23. I've just heared that Paul McKenna will be at the gig. "Ok Victor, when you wake up, this skanky P bass will become a beautiful Fodera Monarch and you will make it sing like no other. 3,2,1, you're back in the room".
24. This is now 10 pages long on Talkbass and they are all nutters posting. Posted just before, "Also, might I suggest posting this on basschat.co.uk? They might have some folks that are closer to Norway. I know TB is international but it surely couldn't hurt." Americans and geography, a dangerous combination.
