I wish I was doing this, sounds well exciting.

The Funk thing goes back 50 years, and knowing the timeline from start to finish still has musicologists in argument.

My advice would be to go with an idea you have the most passion for, knowledge gain be gained afterwards. What does your gut say?

Why don't you come up with some more ideas and Basschat can give you pointers. You've got two good ones already.

I remember him working in A1 Music in Manchester in the late 80's. I asked to try out some bass, left handed, he was very pleasent and handed it to me. He then picked up a bass himself and plugged it into an amp an proceeded to do all this slap stuff very loudly as I was about to try out the bass. Not good.
