2.
My Clover headless 5 will be on it's way to France in the next couple of days, so thanks for peoples PM's and interest.
nice post.
3. Al Cisneros
4. Neal, it was most probably the neck. The core of the string determins the overall length and wouldn't expand that much given the relatively short length of the string.
5. Come in the inglourious bass turd, your time is up. Ready to pass this on, great book.
6. Needs an 8x10.
7. Martyn Casey. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
8.
Ain't wrecked braa, bin workin! If you want an example of when technique ends and music begins, this is a superb one! Their vibe is incredible! The Just Dance vid is seriously bollock expanding. I just wanted to get straight on my drum kit and play along! Such a f***ing shame I'm selling it tomorrow. Found out I am developing arthritis and the impact on my fingers of playing kit is making playing guitar and bass painful. Anyways, I adore these guys, they shine like diamonds in a beach of dull pebbles.
Fair play fella.
9.
f***in A !! Fantastic! Love his Stevie voice too. They make a little sound like a hell of a lot too. Superb arrangement. Superb!!
You're wrecked.
10. Here's what they look like without the make up.
11. White, of course.
12.
That's medium hot.
Warm is another way of putting it. Warm is such a great word.
13. I would love a Jupiter bass but to land £7,000 on a bass that at best sounds average but looks mindblowing is a gamble I'm unwilling to take.
14.
I used to do it on a couple of old-school sounding rocksteady numbers, so I could mute with my palm, but in the end I just stuck foam under the strings instead. It does sound nice though especially with flatwounds.
This.
15.
Nice bass, odd that it has a rosewood board though??
Indeed.
16. Unless you're left handed. I tend to go to the vinyl record shops around Kings Cross and Camden instead and buy loads of old sh*te. Camden is a great place.
17.
I have no idea if this is relevant but is it earthed properly ?
Earthing is a big problem in refits.
18. what happens in passive mode?
19. First one I did was a bit messy. You only need a thin coating though. Looking forward to some pics. Steve.
20. Hi cycro. When we use to do epoxy jobs on fretboards at KGB Music, we use to mix the epoxy, usually West Systems, in a glass beaker with a glass rod. Then it was a case of dribbling it off the end of the glass rod over the fretboard and pushing it around the board with the flat of the rod. Everything except the fretboard was fully masked. Using a brush introduces air bubles, just like when you use a roller to decorate with. You have to then sand it to the desireed radius of the board and go through the grades until you can polish it to a shine. Keep checking with a straight edge for bumps and use a radius gauge.
21. everything else makes the bass so mighty
22. That's a bit cheeky.
23.
£30 posted to you Mark, I'll PM details C
This is why I love Basschat.
