2. What model is it Chris? Beautiful neck. Good score my son.
3. All the southpaws in one thread, nice. Nice bass Alan,
4. People, you should buy this!
5.
I guess that's why Status sound so good with TE gear, as Rob still has a Mk4 or 5 4x10 combo he uses to test everything
That's interesting. The quintessential 80's Jazz-Funk sound. Jazz sounds great, funk also, so why has Jazz-Funk got such a stigma?
6. That wallpaper does not match the pickguard on the Jazz. So tort it up.
7. Beautiful. I love 'burst Precisions and the MM ain't bad either. How does the MM sound on its own?
8.
..who owns a LE stingray 5 worth the askin price good luck with sale man
Would you really swap if it was a five string? Bloody Hell Kev, when I was your age I had an Ibanez Blazer, you're very lucky to have such a great bass. What does LE mean?
9. Just listened to Ped, very nice sounding French loveliness. What were the basses going through?
10.
if that had a 5th string...
Then what, you would buy it? I thought you were a poor student.
11. That must have a dark bottom on it. Wenge and maple, serious arse end, mid and a sweet top? I bet the notes jump off the fretboard. Beautiful.
12. Show us more pics of the Sandberg!
13. I hope it's a belter. That should have more welly than the Dingles farm.
14.
Beautiful looking bass Steve. I was a big Mark King fan, and always wanted a Status series 2, I remember when they first came out. A 6 string kingbass is on my list, hopefully later in the year.
Hi Kev thanks mate, I was a fan too but as you listen to other bassists, and more importantly listen to what is music, you realise that your super hero was "only human after all" You're getting a King Bass? and the other one?
Steve, that is gorgeous!
Cheers Merton. I've put those silly skinny wires on it and I'm having a good time with it. (How did I use to use 30-90's?)
15. That headstock is a much better shape now, I can't wait to see this finished. Great job.
16. Has the bass been resprayed or is this its original colour?
17. If you can get it for £50, great, if not, avoid like the clap.

22. Thanks mate, that's really nice of you to say.
23.
Here is mine..........
Are you running your rig and pleasure board from these?
24.
Sorry, I tried a lot of markbass stuff today. Best was the LMKII through a 4x10. It did sound good but nowhere near as good as my ashdown rig. My ashdown has balls and grunt and a great set of bollocks and Im keeping it. I have the MAG 300 and 4x10 cab. Next question ... what are the higher end ashdown amps like? I'm heading for some more ashdown because if thats how their low end compares their top end must be the dogs. cheers ...
Hi Fudge why don't you try the LMKII through the 2x15" instead, they get better reviews than their 4x10" cabs. As for Ashdown, I had a 1999 ABM 1x15" Combo 500 and it was great but a single fifteen with no horn/tweeter just wasn't good, so I stuck a Mini 48 on top and all was well. If you can get a second hand, British made ABM 500 4x10" Combo and a 4x10" cab, you'll have some change from £900 and be able to rattle windows out of their frames. Or you could buy a Mark Bass head and a 2x10" cab. If only you had the money when Chopthebass was selling his Klystron heads.
