1.
presumably you missed the original post. Never mind, it's just stupid.
Not as stupid as the guitar pupil my friend once taught. They came for their first lesson and were complaining about not being able to connect their electric giutar to be able to get a sound out of it, my friend asked them what amplifier they were using, after a puzzled look, they said what amplifier?, my friend then asked what they had tried to plug the guitar into, they pointed to a 13 amp wall socket in his room.
2. Bargaintastic.
3. Hi JTUK, ball park, 40lbs.
4. Ed posted a clip of Loius Johnson doing his thing with George Duke and his solo ends up with him burstng the strings, the post was titled, look what happens when you let your drummer loose on bass, or something.
5. Drummers, spreading their dis-information around the net, sneaky bastards. Don't worry about it Ed.
6. I've had this about a year now, getting it from TerryK, who bought it from new, it is immaculate and it is in perfect working order. I'm selling it as I use my Ampeg SVTIIP more these days, so for it to be doing nothing is a waste for me. What does it sound like? Thick, dark, meaty, etc, tone is a very personal thing but I couldn't get a bad sound from it. Anyone interested who lives in the North West is welcome to try it. I want £725 for it, that includes the Aguilar footswitch. There was one on Ebay a while ago without the FS and a starting bid of £700. It's built like a tank and has 5 valves to give it its punch, I doubt a pre like this will ever be built again. I will post this in a nuclear proof package at the buyers expense. Cheers Steve.

9.
That is one shoddy pickup rout. I think i could do better with a chisel!
I think I could do better with a brick.
10. I think drugs may have played a part in this sorry tale.
11. Get a soldering iron and resolder all the connections that look iffy, if that doesn't work, set fire to it.
12.
Getting rid of some pedals in a big clearout. The pedal is in excellent condition but does contain a big glittery no.5 sticker courtesy of it' s previous BassChat owner. Pics to follow. Ed.
Hi Ed, my Assmaster has 4 blue glittery stripes next to the in and outs, I think this is Malekkos way of identifying their products for registration.
13. I think they look like a Fender headstock shaped lollipop, that has been sucked for 5 minutes.
14. Don't ever, ever do drugs, they will open your mind up to unlimited possibilities and that will cause you no end of awkward choices.
15. A cousin with 2 heads? Must be from Neston, on the Wirral.
16.
Steve-soar, I merged these two threads as they've become broadly the same thing. I hope that's OK.
Thanks W.O.T.
17.
And the Mark Adams 'Slave' sound I was on about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMfFpmJGCr4 PS. Much better idea having clips. D'Oh.
That sounds f***ing amazing and brutal, that's a killer sound. Bring back analogue recording.
18. Hi, apologies to Pete (don't want to derail any threads, so I started a new one) but I think if we can, we should post our HG of bass sounds. Here is mine when I was a small. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYqllpnyWrY...feature=related Mine changed through the years until I found my own.
19. Am I missing something here? why hasn't this bass been sold?
20.
well if you do play live again at least you have the band's PA sorted!
Best rig on Basschat, start playing live, Mrs P will have to deal with it.
