  1. I use the Eden WTDI pedal - also 15v - I think all Eden's pedals are 15v. The PSU is flimsy, but I've not had a problem so far - I've been using the WTDI every week for the last 7 months.
  2. I'm in. Thanks @jebroad
  3. I have an Eden Glowplug pedal to achieve exactly what you're after - 1x 12AX7 valve to add warmth. If I remember correctly, @lozkerr got one last year - maybe she has some views. https://edenamps.net/glowplug-pedal.html Getting authentic tube tone is now easy with the Eden Glowplug. The Glowplug adds warmth and depth to your sound, bringing out your strings natural harmonics using tone circuitry designed to enhance and compliment your bass sound. In addition to adding tube tone the Glowplug has a built in crossover allowing you to adjust where the tube sound is applied. The Mix control allows further detailing - decide how much tube signal you apply to your overall sound.

  6. I was in a similar position to the OP, but out of the blue last year got asked to run an open mic. night at my local. Enthusiasm returned! Maybe see if there's anything similar near you - might get the love back Good luck 🤞
  7. Research shows that tone isn't all in the fingers after all.
  8. What is this? Very funny though

  15. Not certain abojut your specific control knobs, but generally if there's no grub screw in the side of the barrel, it usually means that it's push fit. I'm sure someone who knows more will be along shortly...
  16. You are either a genius or a lunatic! I can't decide which!
  17. Hiya Si. Short scale bass strings are under less tension than full-scale counterparts, so the strings are more 'floppy' This affects the attack and response. I've got the same Gretsch (Junior Jet 2), and the difference in string tension between this and one of the full-scale basses is very noticeable. As others have said, try lowering the PUPs, or giving it less of 'the beans'! Good luck with your gig! 👍
