  1. The only info I can find online is an old Talkbass thread that says it's a bolt-on neck.
  2. @Harlan Yes, as far as i know, it's still available. Just to sure though, I'll double check and get back to you...
  3. I've always liked the pick ups in the Yamaha basses; it was just the slightly narrower string spacing that wasn't right for me.. But in every other respect, I thought the bass was excellent! The bridge on it is really good too - definitely adds to the tone and sustain..
  4. I was lucky enough to have a play of this bass recently and it's an absolute cracker! Typical Yamaha quality and it looks pretty cool IMHO. More importantly, it sounds great and plays great too! Those pick ups are really good punchy sounding. It really is a lot of bass for the money... Plus Andrew / @Misowaki, is a good guy to deal with, which always helps.. Have a BUMP on me and GLWTS 😊
  5. Ah, my old amp! 😊 I bought on here from @dougal I believe back in 2009/10.. Finally sold it to John two years ago.. I did many, many gigs with it and still miss it! We were partners in crime (or was it time??). Anyway, truth be told, I missed it so much I went out and bought another one about a year later which I still have. These are high quality amps with loads of great features, plenty of power, great e.q. and to my ears at least, they just sounds good right from the get go! Can't recommend this amp - or @warwickhunt for that matter - highly enough! GLWTS πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
  6. I did @TrevorR, though quite unwittingly.. It was only after I traded it with @Happy Jack that it's true provenance became known. It was a great bass but even better I believe after Jack had some renovation work done on it.
  7. That's a bit harsh @ped Why - what's it done wrong? 😁
  8. That's just one hell of a sexy looking bass! From the engraved pick ups (which are just so cool) to the original case, it just oozes class.. 😊😎 GLWTS
  9. Hi @WarPig Ah, I remember that bass - it was an absolute cracker! Although I came and got the bass from you, it was actually for the young son of a work colleague of mine at the time who a really good young bass player. I'll try to see if he's still around and whether he still has it... It's at least 10 years ago if not more, so I've really no idea where he is.
  10. Great cabs these! I have an Epifani 310 and it's excellent.. I've also used one of the 212s like this and it sounded great! GLWTS
  11. That's a lovely looking instrument @BigJim and I'm sorry to hear that you're having to put this up for sale as a result of Covid-19! Normally I would always say GLWTS, but on this particular post, I'm not sure that quite the way to phrase it..
  12. I had the pleasure of playing this bass last year when I bought my Xotic 5 string bass from Manny, who was living in London at the time. Amazed at how stunning this looked in the corner of the room, I asked Manny if I could hear it and he picked it up and played some amazing jazz grooves on it before handing it to me to have a go... Well, despite the fact that I just don't have a feel for 6 string bass - I find it such a stretch in the thinking from playing a 5 string - this bass was an absolute joy to play and it felt and sounded amazing! Not only that, it's such a Rolls-Royce of an instrument; the craftsmanship is stunning.. The inlays in the ebony fingerboard are particularly cool. Anyway, suffice to say this is one hell of a classy instrument and Manny is a great bloke, so deal with him in complete confidence Folks! GLWTS Manny πŸ‘πŸ˜Š P. S. I'm still loving the Xotic 5 by the way!
  13. That's in beautiful condition @Andy and given that it's also a top quality piece of kit, this is a real bargain for someone! GLWTS
  14. Just bought a Gator case from Alex.. Great case, really good comms and arrived quicker than you can say: 'I drove my car 60miles to check my eyes were working'.. All joking aside, a great transaction with one of Basschat's finest so deal with in complete confidence Folks! Thanks Alex πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
  15. That's not my usual taste, aesthetically speaking, where basses are concerned, but this one is an absolute joy to behold. Kind of where science and art and craftsmanship all meet! GLWTS
  16. Nice vid, great playing in it too! The bass sounds superb... πŸ‘Œ GLWTS
  17. Wow.. That's a stunning looking bass!! Never seen a Sei like it before either. Very cool provenance too.. GLWTS

  19. Hi @aj5string Am interested in the Gator Bag 1818 - Β£20 Which one is it in your photo of the bags? Is it the one in the centre.. Cheers Nik

  21. @JottoSW1 - There's a Trace Bright Box for sale on one of Facebook bass related forums at the moment..
  22. Thanks @Happy Jack I didn't know you cared enough to waste some of your time on here to get me to waste more of my time.. And no doubt, someone else will come along soon and waste their time as well. And so on.. This really is an exercise worthy of comparison with the Government's pointless 5pm daily briefings.. πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ Stay Home and choose your favourite albums - > Waste everyone's time - > Save Lives Meanwhile, Album number 47 in my all time top 10 is...
  23. That's rather stunning I have to say!! 😊 GLWTS @PeteHantzios
