George, if you spent more time getting involved with the community, it wouldn't take long for you to realise what a great place this is to be. However, If it doesn't suit what you want or need, You are not being forced to stay here - but there's more than 10,000 people who log in to BassChat who do enjoy it!
As a general comment about Basschat, +1 to the above! This amazing community of bass-players/musicians is the sort of thing I would have loved to be a part of and have access to when I dirst started playing bass back in the 1970's.. Anyone who doesn't appreciate it now, doesn't realise how lucky we all are to have such a valuable resource available to us for free.

 7.
Nik, could you please remove the reference to 'master' from the word 'masterclass'? JL.
Do I have to?
 8. A very heart-warming story! There's definitely a Hollywood feel-good movie in this...'Boy meets Cab, boy loses Cab, boy finds Cab' etc, etc
 9. Thanks guys for letting us know & Mert, hope all's OK! As Jake can't now run his workshop, would anyone else like to step in and do something? What we have are the following: 1. Compression/Compressors - 51m0n 2. Bass tones/using your amp/e.q. advice - alexclaber 3. 'Set up' masterclass - johnnylager 4. ???????? here's a few thoughts I've just had are that it might be really useful to have something on: * Practicing & practice routines * Music theory * Musical styles (e.g. how to play 'Rock' bass, 'jazz-funk' bass etc, etc) * Something on gigging What do you think? Nik
 10. Sorry to hear you news Nick; like many other Basschatters, I've experienced the same fate with bass gear, so I know how you must have felt!! And just to say that this is a beautiful looking P-Bass bass (which I can only admire from a distance I'm afraid), so best of luck with the sale/trade..
 11.
Are we still considering a SEBB Bus this year Nik?
Good question Al! Any others coming up from the South Coast who'd want to transport their gear in a shared minibus? I can organise it quite easily just like last year.. I'm up for it but I have a gig that night in Shorham, so i need to get away really quickly at 5.30pm or so in order to get back in time for the gig.

 14.
Hi Nik - hope all is good with you mate! If it's for sale, I might be interested in the seperate 2 x 10 Eden - is it the 210 XST? Gary :0)
Hi Gary Not too bad; hope you're alright also! It's the older 210 XT cab; not quite as efficeint as the XST as I understand it but still a very good 210 cab. Am only planning to sell it if the Metro sells as well.. Nik

 17.
It's not launched in the UK yet so the only ones who could have tried it would be those attending trade shows or nonUK BCers if it's already launched elsewhere. Looks incredibly well spec'd for the £375 indicated UK price (eg at DV247)
+1 Seems to be on sale now though on t'internet... Looks very good indeed for the money and I must say, I'm very tempted..
 18.
May I just add how generous Clarky and Silddx are? Love this place sometimes. Truckstop
+1 Absolutely! It's one of the things that makes the Bass Bashes so brilliant...
 19.
Fantastic! C'mon everyone, let's all buy a ticket or ten ...with a prize list like this it's possibly the best bass raffle the UK has ever seen! Where do the non-attendees get the tickets from Nik? Anyone from Yorkshire that wins, I can bring your prize back to Harrogate with me. Phil
+1 If people who can't make it want to buy tickets, we can operate a system where they PayPal the money for the tickets. Once we've got it, we'll then reserve their tickets for them and those will go into the raffle draw on the day.. How does that sound?

 22.
Oh ok, you had better donate your Alembic then mate. The Orange seems quite a mean, churlish donation now you mention it.
Clarky; that's a fabulous offer - you are a star! Will update the list accordingly.. And whilst on the issue of the Raffle, can I suggest that we open up the opportunity to buty Raffle tickets to fellow Basschatters who aren't going to be there on the day? IIRC, it's something we did at one of the previous Bashes. Tickets could be purchased using PayPal perhaps and then there'd only be the issue of postage costs What do you think?
 23. Thanks; I've updated the first post on page 1 as well...
 24. Lovely stuff!!!
