At what point would you consider yourself a "musician"?

Nothing to worry about for a good while then. đ -

So Fleabag, when you get out, and when you get your new homemade bass from that man - are you going to be a bell' by not hanging around with us misfits anymore? Or are you going to not do that? đ -

@fleabag Would you call yourself a musician, mate? Those other two are p*** artists, if that helps? đ -

If you don't like saying what you do, say you're a private detective or something. At a party or gathering, it can be fun to say a different thing to each boring person that says "so what do you do?" Careful not to say something that you might have to prove on the spot - i.e. dancer, russian language professor, rapper... -
I'm going to regret this, but, erm...what is meant by "Heft"...?
Ricky 4000 replied to lou24d53's topic in Amps and Cabs
I'm having a weekend of talking jive. Not like the BeeGees. More like, authentic. I admit "lob-on" was a bit of a slipup. Must try harder [oo err]. đĒ Jiveass m*****f***** disrespectin' me an sheet... -

Exactly. Heft = Weight in the trousers. Like having a lob-on. "Oh baby, you so FINE an' hefty today!" Gonna try to git that in the urban dictionary... -

If you become a retired musician, does that mean you used to be a musician but you're not anymore? Or does it mean you weren't, but you are since you retired? A truely pointless question. TBH I'm just trying out a new keyboard. -

If you put it down as your occupation on a car insurance policy, you'll see what it costs to be a musician. đŦ -

Should BCers declare commercial or similar interests?
Ricky 4000 replied to Beedster's topic in General Discussion
You're a troll. And a whore. I'd like to add that I am not sponsored by Ric' International, and Mr Hall has in no way kidnapped my dog (I miss her so much!). ~ This post is brought to you by Tenna Incontinence Pants for Men - Now I can PMSL and not give a ****! đ ~ -
âCongrats you have won a prizeâ pop up?

Firefox with add-ons (adblocker & popup blocker). It hangs most of the time (when it isn't totally freezing or crashing that is) - but no ads or popups! đ đŦ -
I think Melody Maker wrote that about 30 years before I did. đ

Vintage (brand) Stingray copy - Watsitlike?

Interesting, and surprisingly around the same price! đ- 12 replies

Done more washing up lately than usual? I once ran a cafe bar, and my washing up duties softened up my "usually rock hardness" no end... hence the Superglue before rehearsals đŦ

Hi pop fans! I have a Vintage (brand) Icon Jazz Bass (love it's sound, but jury's still out on the low output from the PUPs). Seems highly regarded on here (for the money), as does the V4 P bass copy. So can anybody advise about the Vintage 'ray copy? (V96, although confusingly, sometimes the VJ74 Jazz has V96 on the headstock). I'd rather not spend 600-2000 on a real one, so what's the facts on the cheapo? A forum search into the past says decent, the PUP is good, but it might need a different pre' to sound like a Ray... ? TIA for info. đ edit: Oh, and I'd get a 4 string, so no worrys about low flying bees.

Age old trick before playing - Superglue on the finger pads. You have to spread it with the thumb, mind, and if you take too long doing that, it sets, and you might become known as "OK Stew" for a while. đ

Hrm... Blondie made - The Tide Is High Righteous Bros made - Unchained Melody The original version of California Dreamin' was rubbish. Oh, and being a man of my time, and the UK - The Clash claimed "I fought the law" a lot more convincingly than the Crickets etc. All IMHO of course. đ

No, because she is frozen in time (Desperately Seeking Susan time), and so am I for that matter... this is bad... like when I was 14 and fell in love with what's her name out of "Two Mules for Sister Sarah" with Clint Eastwood, and I was gutted to discover that the film was already old, and she was (by that time) 50 or something... that was horrible... and time (for me) is now relative. What the hell are you on about?? đŦ
