  1. Much of The Jam’s output didn’t feature guitar solos, or were pretty minimalist: Town Called Malice; David Watts; Going Underground; etc.
  2. Legs - ZZ Top
  3. Hunter And The Hunted - Simple Minds
  4. Night Vision Binoculars - Passenger
  5. No, we’re a band, not a flooring showroom. Unless he was after monogrammed trousers that make you sweat.
  6. Rooster - AiC
  7. Tie Your Mother Down - Queen
  8. You have 3 hands? 😱 I wish I had bought the walnut 4003s when I bought my all maple, fireglo - loved the tone, hated the weight. Someone is going to buy a great bass here.
  9. Bedlam in Belgian - AC/DC
  10. Always noted and appreciated.
  11. Here Comes The Bun - Beatles
  12. This seems to be the current state of play in many threads, sadly.
  13. Busted! Not limited to the size of the band, if I’m singing, I tend to be somewhere up front, if there’s room, as I can be quite animated. If I’m not singing, wherever works for the size of the staging area.
  14. Except other bass players.
  15. Ma Baker - Boney M
  16. Copperhead Road - Steve Earle
  17. Planet Rock during the day for me, albeit via the app. The app is a brilliant thing for me as it allows me skip those performers whose output drives me crazy. Then, Monday-Thursday, from 6-8pm, it’s Get It On, on Radio Scotland. This features a theme, where listeners message in their suggested tunes to the theme and the presenters (who are often more entertaining than the music) line up the tunes based on the amount of requests they receive, personal preference and whether the song has any offensive lyrics (not that they always succeed in applying this rule ). It’s not always gold but, more often than not, entertaining.
  18. 2-4-6-8 Motorway - Tom Robinson Band
  19. Yes, it is. I had one, so I can attest to this. Also, if you look at the photos, you came see that curved control plate and bridge (both full sized) sit closer together than on the full size ‘Ray.
  20. Trying out a new drummer last night, I took my JMJ along as the guitar player had said how much he liked it and I’ve been playing my P bass almost exclusively since I acquired it, last year. I’d forgotten how easy the Mustang is to play, especially around the first position. Looks like the P will be taking a back seat for a while now.
  21. Leather and Lace - Nicks & Henley
  22. Leap Up And Down Wave Your Knickers InThe Air - St Cecelia
  23. Vincent’s take on a Mustang. If you’re thinking of that shape, you can’t go too far wrong with the Fender JMJ, which seem to be universally loved by owners (of which I am one). OK, the aged finish divides opinion, but it’s not overly done and there’s one for sale in the appropriate section of BC right now.
  24. I Can’t Keep It In - Cat Stevens
