Yep, I feel your pain. I tried a Metro fiver a few weeks back and hoped I’d hate it; it was false hope. Nice score @AndyTravis, I’m not envious at all (I’m not, I’m not, I’m not 😬).

Oh I don’t know about that; seems a bit harsh. Yes, there are and will be some boutique type lovelies, but there have already been some cheaper, workaday instruments shared. This isn’t meant to be a porn thread, as far as I can see, it’s meant to be what it says in the title and, yes, some of them will be porn and some may wish to show off but, for the most part, I think folks are sticking with the spirit of it. Nice Lull BTW.

Our favourite venue has just cancelled us for the beginning of April. No real surprise, but a shame nonetheless. I had another gig 2 weeks later with another band that I had to get a dep in for (I’m supposed to be away - we’ll see about that I guess) but I reckon they’ll cancel too. Going to be an even leaner year than I anticipated. Hard to justify any GAS without some gigs .

I played one of these the other day and I came to three conclusions: 1. They’re great. 2. I like the feel of short scales. 3. It was a mistake and I shouldn’t have done it.* *(for my GAS you understand).

Tried one of these on Thursday when I was really impressed. If the body had been a little larger, my credit card would’ve been sweating. Still not writing it off though, just want to try some other SS basses.

Tried the Gibson DC, s'alright, not the best set up or hardware; Gretsch budget version, awesome for the money; Fender Mustangs, really liked the JMJ signature, others OK but the body feels a bit small for my frame. The one I really want to try is the SWB-1 (@Chownybass rubs hand with glee 😁) but Anderton's won't have stock until the 20th according to their site
. I've tried de-tuning one of mine 2 steps and putting a capo at the 2nd fret (pretty much 30" scale) and I am liking it. Now if I could just get a Mustang neck to fit my P type and get it intonate...
